Its ironic that Sony is using a Microsoft AAA title to justify their exploitation of PS3 fans to promote Blu-ray. Don't blame them cos looking at the quality of Sony games, they all fit very well into a DVD if the developers bothered to compress.
Previews are just confirming what everyone knows about Xbox's slew of upcoming big games. There's just no need to pray and hope and dream and lie about how a game might be AAA and then wake up to harsh reality of a 5.5 score.
Nah lame is when a game forces you to use crappy controls to flap around aimlessly while blowing hot air in all directions. Y'know, a 5.5 score kind of lame.
So now every self-indulgent blog by this narcisist is gaming news?
Condolences are expressed in different ways, some more tactfully than others. Even in your sorrow, you should at least try to take it in the right spirit.
Sorry, that'll be Ratchet and Clank and Little Big Planet getting scores in the region of 9+, not HS and not Lair.
Who the hell says massive damage indeed. I hope you know who you're laughing at.
I have to agree there's strangely an appeal in games of low or mediocre quality. Many people played Motorstorm for crying out loud. HS looks to be another game that won't excel but many people will play it anyway. I must say Sony is catering to a niche market.
From what I see, HS will deliver slightly more than Lair although it is obvious that apart from Nariko's facial expressions, there's nothing outstanding about the game. I'm a little concerned about Sony's obsession to push the graphics of their games at the expense of framerates and gameplay 'cos they're not achieving anything that hasn't been done on other games apart apart from quirky things like facial animations which probably ate up 70% of the size of the demo download. All said and do...
BD and Lost Odyssey were made primarily for the Japanese market based on a winning formula there. You either like it or you dont cos it was just more of the same. BD was already a success in Jpn so it served its purpose.
Lair on the other hand was a bold new concept. But based on the videos it was apparent that they didnt get it right, but everyone else was too caught up with the graphics which were not that great anyway (gameplay).
The only thing that I'm impressed with is the facial expressions of the heroine. Everything else was < Ninja Gaiden. Back to the drawing board Sony. Not AAA by a long shot.
The pace picks up at disc 2 for Blue Dragon, which is 20+ hours into the game. If you're not into jrpgs or not patient, BD might well be a 7.5 for you. Lair... I thought it'll make 8. Guess I was too generous.
Tell us when they make profits on PS3.
What an original creative idea! Lol!
You're going to have a long wait.
Poor kid, you must never have seen Pixar movies.
Having said that, this will be Sony's best exclusive imo.
You're pretty obnoxious about what qualifies as a real game. Its like those audiophilles telling others that the music they listen to ain't real music. Take a few steps back and you might realize that gaming is meant only to be recreational to the vast majority of people who incidentally do not incorporate gaming into their daily diet.
If Wii was a failure and came in third place like PS3 now, would you guys be saying that Nintendo is not in competition with the other consoles? Of course not. You'd be laughing and mocking at how Nintendo is predictably at last place among the three and just can't compete and is a complete failure.
Y'all a bunch of sorry clowns.
Waitaminnit I don't see any PS3 exclusives in that top 5.
HAHAHAHAHA! 340 at launch, 10,000 in the pipeline. Yup Forza 2 will have 10 billion cars as DLC in time to come too. What a typically ridiculous and irresponsible Sony statement to hype a product.
