They should try to get the cars right first before moving on to motorbikes.
How is it possible for a person of any intelligence to say "realistic" and "I don't need damage" in the same breath? Superman must be a real person 'cos he can't be damaged.
I don't fancy jrpgs that much so I can't say I got much of a kick playing BD, but judging it by that genre, I'd say BD deserves at least an 8.
Wow are you guys Sony Protection Group or what? That siege mentality you're exhibiting is something fierce... do you all do parades or protest marches led by Bathyj maybe?
I guess I must be the only straight-minded guy on this thread who's commenting on the article and rightly thinks PS3 being a super computer transformer is plain ridiculous.
Bathyj you should be used to waiting by now, no? I hear that's all you people do when you're not watching blu-ray movies on your PS3. Has the movie Transformers been released on blu-ray yet by the way? If it has, give us a quick review please and let us know if there's a PS3 robot in it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's a new one I think. PS3 has gone beyond being a "future-proofed super conputer" to become a transformer! Decepticon or Autobot I wonder? Roll out Sony executives, and roll over and play dead too!
Its funny how every multiplatform game which is purportedly better on the PS3 is therefore the best game there is, then the 360 version comes out and beats the crap out of the PS3 version and suddenly its a crappy game anyway or the developers are lazy.
The other hilarious thing is every game seems to be in pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha stage of development whatever the hell that means.
What a great great suggestion. All EA games should be Xbox360 exclusives, that way Sony fans have less to moan about. Perhaps Ubisoft too?
I'm glad they like the smell of money 'cos there can only be a lot more going their way with their wise decision to open up the MGS franchise to other platforms.
NGS is likely to be game of the year for PS3 - its just a sweet sweet game. Can't wait for Ninja Gaiden 2 which I think might be one of the many exclusive heavy hitters for Xbox360 for the year 2008.
Sony fans, just because I think Phil shouldn't be pointing fingers at developers doesn't mean that you have to get so riled up and talk trash about topics that you're just too young to fully comprehend, such as sex. Its not like you're all the bastard sons of Phil Harrison are you? Or are you...?
@ tatical
I don't mean to disrespect jrpgs, I've played Blue Dragon, its a good game but a there's a lot of storytelling cut-scenes and that's what is taking up space, not gameplay. Oblivion is a much bigger (and better)game and it is done in a single DVD because it doesn't rely on extravagant cut scenes to tell the story. Yes games will eventually need more and more space, I don't deny it. Eventually.
I'm sure Phil and the rest of you rabid fans are all right. EA got to where it is by being a lazy developer.
@ Bathyi
You really don't have to tell us all about how much of a chore it was for your parents to have sex with each other.
And I'm guessing you go around justifying your virginity by saying you're just too lazy to have sex?
Woo hoo! PS3 is not just a gaming console! But what you've said is true. If I ever buy a PS3, it will be if and when Blu-ray really wins the format war so that I can use it to watch movies and maybe occasionally to play a decent game or two if they ever arrive that is.
Man EA ought to sue this guy for defamation. Everyone knows the cell is useless for games which accounts for the framerate issues in PS3 games, and there he goes casting aspersions at the developers' integrity.
I love it. Everytime Sony fans have to blow the Blu-ray trumpet, it re-affirms the fact that PS3 as a console has failed.
Its inevitable that Forza 2 is making their way to 10,000 cars. Just that they don't boast about it a year before the game even launches.
You guys are still in denial? What is it about that short HS demo that required such a big download? What is it about Killzone 2 to require 2 gig for 1 level? What is it about RFOM? NOTHING. There was absolutely nothing in those games that distinguishes them from games that fit very well into a DVD. Yes, PGR4 is the first game to legitimately exceed a DVD, hooray.
Gentlemen, PS3 is not a contender. It is between Xbox360 and Wii. Get over it.
