Um so where are the textures? Seems to me like this is going to be another Uncharted where emphasis is on animation but little on details and textures. Will look good in its own way no doubt, but I'm beginning to think that PS3 might be incapable of quality textures.

Its your mentality that needs a rethink. Nobody's talking about the merits of MGS4 but you. Your type insist on MGS4's speculated greatness in defence of Sony's continued poor showing of games. Always has been so. But hello we're talking about Haze here, and you pretend it doesn't matter simply because you have MGS4. Well, as a PS3 owner, I'd say every game matters because there isn't an abundance of good PS3 games unless you're blind to that fact.
I noticed how the degree of rabid lunacy of Sony fans always goes off the charts whenever they respond to an article that touches on a subject that clearly and indisputably favors the 360. Take this article for example, Gears is clearly and indisputably head and shoulders above Resistance, and just look at the irrational response it has engendered.
All I can say as someone who has played both predecessors of these 2 games is that Gears has already proven itself.
With so many games allegedly scratching the surface of the almighty PS3 even after such a long time, but somehow the games are still glitchy or require HDD install despite the vaunted power of the cell, you have to be scratching your head wondering if maybe the PS3 might just be hollow beneath the surface.

No, not necessarily Gears although you must admit the textures on Gears are awesome. If you compare the faces in Uncharted with Mass Effect, you'd see a marked difference in textures. Uncharted looks good because of the animations, lighting and colors, but not textures. Textures of the environments in Bioshock are exceptional too. I haven't played a PS3 game with great textures yet. Maybe COD4 might be good, but I can't say 'cos I bought the 360 version. And on the topic of COD4, it clearly t...
