It's probably Zelda's or Mario Odyssey's to lose for GOTY. But I'm glad to see the nods for Horizon and Persona 5.
Who was the "genius" who decided to design the award to look like an old hood ornament?
@LastCenturyRob
A sensible comment that's grounded in reality!?!? GTFO with your logic! :-)
Still using an old laptop CPU is why.
Exactly. I played both games. Enjoyed Horizon way more! Zelda felt like "Babies first open world RPG."
It really is. I guess people have to do what they have to do to feel good about their 500.00 investment. But stop lying to yourself for crying out loud. It's kind of sad.
@Skull521
No, that is not a generational leap. Look, obviously the X is more powerful than the Pro. There's no disputing that. But to say there's a FULL generation of difference here is nonsense. The hyperbole associated with the X has gotten completely out of control.
So similar I felt like I was looking at one of those VR videos without the glasses.
Holy shit I didn't know this was coming to PS4. I actually enjoyed this little game on my friend's X1. I'll be picking this up on PS4.
From a sales perspective it's VERY underrated.
It already looked awesome on the Pro! X1X owners are in for a treat with this one! Such an underrated game!
Yet another studio that MS could've legitimately had in their stable, only to be swallowed up by EA (Bioware being the other).
Exclusives. Duh!
Agreed! Turn based combat was a mechanic developed simply because of the limitation of hardware at the time. I understand a certain level of nostalgia people have for it because it's what they grew up with but come on. Real time combat is superior in every single way. Game development has evolved and turn based combat is antiquated. It would be like going back to first person shooters that don't let you jump or look up and down. People need to get out of the 80's and 90's...
Can I play The Last of Us 2, God of War, Spiderman, and Detroit Become Human on Xbox One X? There's your answer!
No that's the question the author asked. Given the choices between "Fad" and "Revolution" I choose fad.
All day, every day!
It's a fad. Mario 64 was a revolution. GTA 3 was a revolution. Doom was a revolution. Street Fighter was a revolution.
it really depends on the game/genre. With some genres, 60 fps just isnt that critical to make them more enjoyable such as adventure games, puzzle games, RPG's, etc. However for things like sports, fighting games, competitive FPS', Racing, platformers, etc.. 60 fps is very important.
I know it bums me out as a Pro owner we have no 60fps option for Driveclub, Killzone Shadow fall, Destiny 2, Ratchet and Clank, and Crash Trilogy.
Because it's still a beta. That's why the nomination is a joke. It's an unfinished product.
