I prefer the DS4. Mostly because the analogue sticks are tighter than the X1's. The X1 sticks have too much dead zone.
Agreed
I'm in no hurry as I don't even yet own a 4K TV. My PS4 Pro on my 1080p plasma is providing more than enough great visuals and content. I'm not really longing for anything else right now. Even if the PS5 came out tomorrow, I wouldn't rush out to get it.
Agreed. New cars are great but new tracks are what I want most.
Where are the season 3 characters? I don't see them available.
For kids eh? I just showed it to my 7 year old son. Know what he said? That looks stupid.
No. Next question.
I choose to see it as an early Switch prototype that Nintendo made available to the public. Yes, it was a crap design but it was necessary to get us to the fully realized Switch console. The Switch to me feels like a more natural evolution of the Wii.
Agreed. I said a while back that 4 things need to happen with VR before it's ready for true mass market...
1.) It has to get smaller (something around the size of 3D glasses).
2.) It has to get better. Like you stated. 4k screens, eliminate lag, screen door effect, ghosting, full 180 field of view, etc.
3.) It has to get cheaper (sub 400)
4.) It has to get wireless.
1.) Would BC be nice? Sure. However the reality is PS4 cannot emulate PS3 games. The architecture is too different. This is well known information at this point so I'm not sure why it keeps getting brought up. Its like criticising a 4K UHD player for not playing VHS tapes. It aint hapoening so people need to let it go. Besides, pretty much every PS3 game worth a damn has already been HD re mastered anyway and far superior to the original. Also, with the move to x86 architecture, y...
@Haurus
Get real! You know damn well the vast majority of people who download this will not be Switch owners, but rather low lifes who think they're entitled to something for nothing. White wash it all you want but you know darn well that is the truth! Yeah I'm sure Nintendo is just THRILLED to hear this news.
Imagine a future where people actually pay for their shit instead of acting like a bunch of entitled parasites.
Wow, a new videogame IP that's sci fi . How original.
Then they should do the LEGAL thing and buy a Switch!
I have the PS4 version and I downloaded the Switch demo to compare and I agree with him. For starters there's more aliasing in the Switch version. I noticed it immediately. It also has poorer quality textures compared to the PS4 version.
Don't get me wrong, the Switch version is perfectly fine and Switch owners should absolutely play it because it's a great game. However to say it looks just as good as the PS4 version is a lie.
It really is a great game. Critics were harsh on it at launch but like Driveclub, it is slowly but surely gaining momentum. I really enjoy playing it.
If I play this single player, what do I do? Are there clear, defined objectives? Is there a story? Do you actually "complete" the game and then you keep playing or is this one of those endless grinders where you just do the same things over and over with no sense of progression?
Do explain.
The only thing that looks better in the new build is the serpent. Everything else looks better in the older footage. There's far more texture detail in the old footage than in the new. Also there's entire set pieces missing in the new footage, compared to the old. Look at the diiference in the stone archway at the beginning of the video. The old footage shows Norse language carved into it. Now its completely missing. Plus the trees surrounding it are completely gone now. Look ...
