Right? It's like studios sometimes just cannot get out of their own damn way. I swear to god, content wise Street Fighter V makes basic Destiny look like The Witcher 3.
I'm "looking into" never supporting this franchise again if Capcom doesn't pull their head out of their ass! Seriously what think tank believed that omitting a mode of play that is a staple of ALL fighting games, not just Street Fighter, was a good idea??
I can't understand how game companies can possibly think there won't be negative backlash towards crap like this. Do they operate in THAT large of a bubble? It's just so egregious I can't beli...
LMAO! Wow you really do exist in a bubble.
Agreed 100%. Especially now that we are in the high polygon count, HD age. Nintendo games will look even more gorgeous and timeless going forward.
Nah I disagree. Street Fighter has a distinct style all it's own. It doesn't need to try and be KI just like KI doesn't need to try and be SF. They're both great in their own respects.
I'm not an Xbox gamer but Killer Instinct is fantastic! It's one of the best reasons to own an X1 IMO.
Completely beside the point. You don't ask gamers to pay full price for an incomplete game. That's extremely egregious. They should've released the multiplayer portion first as a digital download for 30.00 and then later release the full retail version at 60.00 when the remaining modes/features are finished. As it is, this is just a glorified version of crowd funding.
NAIL ON HEAD! Bubbles for you!
Terrible decision to release it in it's current state as a full retail game. Should've released as a 30.00 digital download first and then later as a full retail game at 60.00 when single player/arcade mode is patched in.
LMAO!
I love this game so much. Hope we get a second season pass!
You failed to mention that KI also included a single player/arcade mode from the get go. That's the omission from SF5 that most of us are up in arms about. Absolutely, no way in hell Capcom should have charged us 60.00 and not include those modes of play! It blows my mind that some of you are defending this horseshit practice.
You conveniently left out the fact that KI was a free to play game that allowed you to pay for your content as you wanted, unlike SF5 that charges you full price up front with roughly half of the game completely missing. IMO it's an egregious method of selling your product and they should have either A.) delayed the game until it was completely finished, B.) Split the charges in half, charging 30.00 now for the multiplayer and 30.00 later when single player/arcade mode gets implemented,...
OR it could be because Nintendo doesn't want to invest the money to give their games the kind of production value that most modern day games have because they're cheap. Give me a damn break! Zelda is not more immersive because Link has less personality! That's got to be the dumbest rationalization I've ever heard.
No the reviewer is correct. Any game that ships as incomplete as SF5 did deserves a low score. Capcom should have either delayed it or released it in 2 parts, the multiplayer and the single player, and charged 30.00 for each portion. Shipping half a game and charging you full price is nothing short of egregious.
To quote Max Von Sydow in The Force Awakens...
"This will begin to make things right."

I've played both too and I think DC is better. Who's right and who's wrong? Answer: Nobody. It's all subjective my friend. I hated the handling in Horizon 2 as I felt it was far too 'floaty' like the car wasn't touching the ground.
1977 Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am!!
The main thing that hurt the GameCube was the decision to use the mini disk format instead of adopting DVD. Many people bought PS2 because it was the cheapest DVD player on the market at the time. Plus 3rd party developers didn't like the format because the storage space was much more limited than on DVD's. Plus the system design of the GameCube was horrible. Yeah it's cute and compact, but it looked like a child's toy compared to the PS2, which looked more like a piece of...
Don't attempt to downplay it's importance. Not every gamer wants to play online. Many just want to play against the CPU and advance past each fighter/stage. The fact that Capcom didn't understand this shows me just how out of touch some developers are with their audience.
