"bad soundtrack"
Dude, really? How is that even a factor considering anyone can use their own soundtrack in the game.
I think it's built into the Android OS which if Nintendo is using a variation of, it would make sense that it has similar functionality.
@sk8ofmind
Because they're going for both mobility and home use. That's a functionality the other 2 consoles do not offer.
Seems like over time those would kill your thumbs. Is there no cushion to them?
@frankiebeans
You are so full of crap! Unless you are Andre The Giant with the strength of Sampson, there's no way in hell anyone's DS4 triggers would break 13 times. Stop throwing out ridiculous numbers like that.
Those of you who are crying about the system power, let's say hypothetically the system performance is somewhere between X1 and PS4, are you guys really going to complain about a system that powerful that plays on the go or in your living room??? Also, even if the NX was the most powerful of the 3, it wouldn't matter because 3rd parties wouldn't take the time to eek out any extra performance anyway. They are going to port their games and they're going run and look on par wit...
I have both consoles, bought them both at launch, and I prefer the DS4 exactly the way it is. I have two of them and both are in as good a shape today as they were at launch, There are pros and cons to both controllers. I actually like the sticks on the DS4 better because there's less dead zone and they have a slightly larger footprint.
Sounds like it's basically a form of screen mirroring which phones and tablets have been doing for a while. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and a Roku 3 and I can do screen mirroring with those devices pretty well, and that's pretty old tech. I can play my mobile games and watch streaming video on my TV using this and it works pretty well. There's a little lag but again, it's pretty old tech.
For those of you saying nobody wants to play street fighter on a phone, that's true. However why can't that phone connect to your TV through some kind of hdmi docking station and play it on your tv with a controller? You'd still have the games that are more mobile friendly while at the same time have the option for a home gaming experience. I look forward to the day a mobile phone has that kind of flexibility.
In short, it needs EA, Activision, UbiSoft, Capcom, Bandai-Namco, 2K, Rockstar, and Square-Enix to be on board in a big way if they hope to compete. Nintendo IP's alone won't do it. We already had that with Wii U. Nintendo also needs to fully embrace the Indy community.
Iwata is at least partly responsible for Nintendo being in this mess to begin with. No disrespect to him but the Wii U did happen on his watch.
@rdgneoz3
Oh I know! You're preaching to the choir brother! It just amazes me how much in denial some Nintendo fans can be.
Well... that was annoying.
How can anyone honestly disagree with this statement?
...and Sagat !
Agreed. I'm pissed at Sagats omission from the game. Hes always been my guy, the perfect combination of power, range, and speed! Fei Long is another one I'd like to see come back.
War of the Monsters !
I'd love to see both a Dark Stalkers and Marvel Super Heroes using the SF5 engine.
Yes because EVERY person who buys Street Fighter V reads up on every nugget of gaming news prior to its release. Give me a damn break! Joe Shmoe who walks into a store, sees that a new Street Fighter is out, and buys it on the spot isn't going to have the first clue that for the first time in franchise history, Capcom decided to omit a mode that's been a staple of the game since it's inception! The crime isn't that Capcom didn't attempt inform people ahead of time. Th...
@sk8ofmind
Why do you assume that NX will have to be bought by current console owners to be successful? Last gen, nearly 300 consoles were sold by the 3 console providers. Between PS4 and X1, only 60 million units have sold so far. This gen hasn't even come close to reaching critical mass. Add to that the potential mobile market and you begin to realize that there's a HUGE market left for Nintendo to tap into. But Nintendo needs to act pretty soon. The longer th...
