Initially I was excited about Spore when it was first announced. It sounded great - a whole universe to explore! Wow!. But now it's pretty clear that the so called planets are more like beachballs with bugs walking around on them. So we're basically gonna cycle through an infinite number of beachballs looking at a variety of silly bugs that have grown on them. Hardly mind blowing...

Overhyped or not, it's still an amazing creation. I personally don't like the gameplay, I find it too tedious carrying out the missions. Too much like work!. :) But I can still appreciate the virtual city that Rockstar created and the multiplayer side of it. To me a video game is a work of art and GTA IV is state of the art.

But like you, I can't help but question whether GTA IV will ever be ported to PC because most PC users already own a 360 or a PS3.

I bet even Sony and the developers don't know what it is. They probably haven't given it a name yet! :)

Actually, that'd be a cool way of keeping something secret. Just don't name the damn thing and then nobody can talk about it!. :D

Fools: "Who cares about resolution as long as the game plays good?"

Well f*ck it then, let's all go back to Playstation 1 eh?

If EA gets GTA then there'll be a "new" GTA every week.

Woot?

Vista 64 is a nightmare. I've had to go back to XP. I'm sure Vista 32 will be fine though. So I'm not blaming Vista, but just the 64 bit drivers.

I agree. I see glasses as being a major milestone. Replacing monitors, cell phones, handheld computers and in some cases even laptops. Anybody tried using their laptop outside on a sunny day? ..UGH!!

It's just a matter of waiting for miniature hi-def LCD displays and glasses then should hit the mainstream.

But like all large displays, they're gonna take some serious getting used to. The dizzy spells and motion sickness will put many people off at first.

How are they gonna pay that $110 million in damages?

Maybe they should start up a new torrent site to help raise the cash.

All movie based games suck. I thought we learnt that back in the 80s with Ocean software and the Commodore 64.

Maybe they're trying the old marketing crap on the next generation now.

Well I say piss off with your movies already. I want games!

Whatever...

I've mentally played Home many times and I'm bored of it already. Scrap it, Sony.

and anyway, isn't GTA online a form of Home, but with cars and stuff? :)

It's looking good!

It's pretty much what I expected and not what I had hoped for. But long before its release I realized it wasn't going to be what I wanted. So I wasn't disappointed at all.

and there was so much talk about it that I felt like I'd played it a hundred times before I'd even got my hands on the damn thing.

"...gave it a better story"

I think that's the problem. It's still a story. It has a beginning and a end.

I'm not sure why the gaming industry is fixated on stories. Is that really what people want?. Why do all games have to end?.

For me I get the impression game designers go watch a great action movie at the cinema and think "Wow! I want to be a movie maker too! Let's make a game like a great movie! Something that'll impress my Mo...

I wanted less scripted scenes and more of a Sims like city where every character had a home and a job. GTA doesn't really add that much more to the previous games. It's still relatively shallow. Like COD4, it still aspires to be a playable movie and not a living breathing virtual world.

It's still fun though! :)

The Journey. It makes me feel like I'm in The Matrix! :)

It's also hilariously depressing. haha
