It looks like Motorstorm 1 track with a sprinkling of grass and trees.

I'm definitely all for Pure.

I don't really like ATVs, but there's no denying that the graphics in this game are incredible. Not only that but I actually enjoyed the racing in Pure despite the ATV theme.

But it's funny that somebody mentioned Uncharted. Because I do remember get the feeling that I was racing around an Uncharted level. :)

I'm not really impressed from what I've seen of Motorstorm 2 so far.

They try to educate on how to give the nice man at Best Buy $50.

Second Life is far from deserted. It sucks, but it sure aint deserted.

Every year people say it's dying and yet every year it grows ever more popular. God knows why..

I guess bored housewives don't really care about the graphics and lag.

Wii60 is right, there still has to be an OS on the client computer - file system, GUI, network management etc.

Has somebody drugged your spam?

It's a cheap black plastic keyboard. What the hell is impressive about that?

I wanna see persistent characters in GTA that go around doing their thing rather than all those scripted missions.

They updated the graphics engine in GTA IV but the underlying logic in the game was basically the same as previous games. Very shallow.

I found all the missions a chore and yet if you try to ignore the missions then there isn't really that much to do. All the people walking the streets are brain dead zombies with a lifespan that starts the moment you...

I was under the impression he left because he was slowly becoming disillusioned with the PS3 and Sony's decisions. He often seemed quite critical of Sony. I imagine Sony was relieved to see him go. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they told him to STFU or go.

I'm a PS3 user, but I think if I was an XBox 360 user then I may be tempted to accuse id software of sloppy programming. John Carmack has been talking about mega textures on terrains for quite some time now. He's clearly decided to pull it off with his latest game and this is why he can't get the textures to fit onto the XBox discs. Now the question is whether it's good programming to drop a monster texture onto a terrain. Sand is sand after all. Yeah it might be nice for a developer to be ab...

I used a pirate version of XP and decided to go legal and bought XP (64 Bit). I then installed it and couldn't get on the net because my ADSL modem didn't have 64 bit drivers. DOH!. I then went back to my pirated XP. Two years later they release Vista and I goes and buys me a new computer with Vista (64 Bit). The damn thing was very unstable and so I installed a pirated version of XP again.

So here I am back on XP. Maybe one day I'll dare to install Vista (64 bit) again. But I ...

What the hell is a "visual representation of the Playstation community"?. Why don't they just make a freaking graph or pie chart?. It'll be a lot cheaper!.

Saying Home isn't for social networking is like building a plane and saying it's not for flying.

I wonder if they'll have 'No Talking!' signs everywhere.

I can't wait for Spore 2. It's gonna make Spore 1 look crap. Does anybody know the Spore 2 release date yet?

zzzz

I'm tired of games that have stories. That's the worst part of GTA, the fact that it had a story. Dammed wannabe movie makers.

If they spend more time on making the world dynamic then there would never be a need for a story. Just add persistent characters to a world and a story will happen naturally. We all have a story to tell.

It's something you're either gonna love or hate depending on your attitude towards internet friendships. Some people seek friendship/companionship online while others just want to jump straight into a game and shoot some random anonymous internet people before going off and hanging with their *real* friends.

Home really belongs on the PC because PCs tend to be used by elder folks with less of a real social life. Younger folks tend to have a decent social life because of school/...

so it's a big iphone?

There's rumours going around that Apple has a tablet pc coming out soon which is basically going to work just like an iPhone. So Microsoft is a little slow if they hope to release theirs in 2010.

Jeff Minter (remember him?) was dreaming about something just like this in an article back in the 90s.

Games help keep the crazy psychopaths from off the streets and not giving them the ability to kill civilians is just selfish and irresponsible.

Mark my words, Ubisoft will be to blame when the next innocent shopper at Walmart is gunned down in cold blood.

maybe the central character had a bad back from doing all that motion capture in Crysis.

our planet is huge relative to the humans upon its surface. Spore planets are incredibly tiny (like beach balls) compared to the bugs that crawl around on them. You can see from the curvature of the horizon in the screenshot above just how small the planets are.

Or maybe the Spore bugs are actually gigantic Japanese b-movie monsters?. Oh yeah, that must be it.
