Who needs who more and who has the most to prove is why the NX is coming out so soon.
@wonderfulmonkeyman
As much as I want to agree with you, I can't.
Sure, ME3 and AC4 sold poorly on the WiiU. Sure, they were not the best ports. Sure, such efforts don't deserve support and are doomed to fail. Sure, there are many other games that fall into this category. I'm looking at you Watch Dog...
But those games do sell in very very large numbers. Sadly, numbers Capcom can now only dream of.
It's not th...
I can imagine the cover art on the boxes having the statement "Better with HoloLens".
Now where have I seen something like that before...?
Thanks for the follow up info. People like to bash big publishers when their pet developer goes off, but the world is a lot less black and white. Timesplitters showed a lot of that creativity and more than a nod to Goldeneye.
For me they are dead. Gone are the days when I couldn't wait to get my hands on a cartridge with Rare's logo on it. I liked Kameo, but for me their last great game was Starfox Adventures. The creativity and fun they had before then, such as in Blast Corp and Goldeneye, just seemed to have dried up. Was that Microsoft's fault? Who really knows?
Don't worry, there will still be plenty of them occurring ,)
@uncharted56
To be fair, he said "buy 2 and combined the computing power for 1080p 60 fps."
This may be in reference to the suggestion that the system scales according to the hardware attached to it.
$400 of tech today should be able to do this, particularly if you're buying in the numbers Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft do. Time will tell.
@never4get
You beat me to it.
I agree with the gist of what you're saying, however I never had a problem getting a game. In fact, I preferred it over the Xbox version as the players were less immature and I liked using the off-screen play.
No, the Atari Jaguar is king, closely followed by the 3DO.
@jznrpg
You're right about ET to a point, however I think Superman deserved negative numbers.
I did!
Figures. I bought Magicka 2 a few weeks ago when it was on special. Wish Sony wouldn't give PS+ discounts to games they're going to give away free so soon afterwards. Still, it's a fun game with friends that's well worth the DL.
There is a console with plenty of exclusives and yet it's dying a slow death. Ironically it's the only one of the three I own that doesn't seem to struggle playing the games made for it either, albeit with less graphic fidelity than the other two.
Am getting very tired of watching frames disappear as soon as something interesting starts to happen and constant patching. Time to build another PC I think and wait to see what Naughty Dog and 343 deliver in exclusives...
I think that's the key, getting early support of a few key western developers with big franchises. Getting games on their console like the next GTA, Red Dead, Left 4 Dead, Elder Scrolls, etc is really what they need more than the next Meteoid or Zelda (not that they aren't day one purchases for me).
Yes.
Bubble up for being funny
We won't know if this will make a difference to gaming yet, but the d-pad on the NES and four action button layout and shoulder buttons of the SNES controllers certainly did. As did the rumble pack and analog stick of the N64 controller. Maybe a clickable mouse wheel will too?
No.
I wouldn't mind knocking some sense into her. Now Beiber I just want to punch in the head...repeatedly.
And so the WiiU is a roaring sales success because of Nintendo's plethora of developer support.
