As funny as that sounds, you're right. Being able to construct a world and inhabiting it with Nintendo's IP makes perfect sense. It also suits their whole ethos of asynchronous and constructive gameplay. Until then, animal crossing is as close as we get.

So you're disappointed with your wii u purchase. I knew exactly what I was buying before I laid down my hard earned cash, so I have no complaints on the technical side. I have BLOPS II on both Xbox and Wii u and the Wii u version looks and plays fine. In fact I've stopped playing it on the xbox so I guess I prefer the wii u version.

I agree with points 1 and 4. I think 2 and 3 are dependent on return of investment, which is influenced by the console install base. Currently the PS3 and 360 have vastly larger install bases and the wii u is being outsold by them month on month. This situation can make the wii u an unattractive proposition to developers and publishers. Time will tell...

To add my two cents, yes the Xbox version should be stable given Bungie's experience. A PC version makes sense, as does the PS4 and the next Xbox. Wii u version is doubtful, but as an owner I would like to see it.

I agree with you 100%. I was a mad MW2 player, but when I discovered BF bad company, I stopped playing CoD games. I put away BF3 the middle of last year and moved on to other games. I recently picked up CoD on the Wii u for cheap and love how well it plays on the platform. Now I've started playing BF3 again and can see how the two fulfil 2 different needs. CoD is great for a quick blast where nothing really matters, just have fun, whereas BF3 rewards the strategist and patient player. Bot...
You're entitled to your opinion and clearly have the time to express it given the length of your post. For some people, the app is new TO THEM and that is why they are excited. Yes, it is powered by Google maps which is broadly available, however not usually on a home console. The integration of the pad and TV is also novel. I own a wii u and so far am enjoying how the games play. When Sony and Microsoft release their next consoles I will buy and enjoy them too. Why? Because I play games, not consoles. If specs and companies really matter to you then perhaps you don't really like playing games. I'd happily buy a console made by black and decker if I could play Zelda, Halo, BF3 and Uncharted on it. My advice is love the game, not the console.

So you own a wii u and won't be buying it or you don't own a wii u and this doesn't convince you to buy one? I'm confused. A good score is a good score, why try to belittle it? I hope it sells well with current owners of the console and perhaps entice some people to give the wii u a go. It doesn't need to be a 'killer app'.
