This week will be such a mess.
Everytime I read something new about MGO3, the less hyped and more disappointed I am.
- no clan system
- no text-chat
- "modern" ranking system (no more de-leveling for playing poorly)
Of course these things can still be patched later on, though I'm still not feeling the MGO vibe from the latest videos/info.
October 3rd? I thought it was October 6th?
I'm sure I'm not the only MGO fan disappointed with what they saw at TGS. However, I am still looking forward to playing this iteration of MGO.
It looks like it can be a lot of fun, though there seems to be several balancing issues that need to be resolved, not to mention the animation/lag. I was turned off by the class system, but they each look to balance each other out.
Other than that, I hope we can create our own rooms and tailor it the way we ...
Concerns about Cloak & Dagger (TSNE):
1. Marking the sneaking/cloaked players (how long does it last?) Is it like Monomania where it lasts a few seconds?
2. The stealth camo seems godly. Even the tranq gun is cloaked when shooting. Looks like they have Cqc ex as well? The downside is that they are extremely weak.
3. Shooting the defending players with tranqs: how will we know how much stamina they have left?
4. No timers...
I agree, I thought MGO2/MGS4 mechanics were perfection.
Well the point of the game is to infiltrate without getting seen, in the fastest time possible. Obviously you wouldn't wanna be alerting everyone in sight of your presence.
I play stealthily on my first playthrough to get an S-Rank, then I go back with all my fancy weapons afterwards to complete the remainder of the mission tasks - best of both worlds.
Hope we have these special characters in MGO again.
This is what I love about Metal Gear, so many options/gadgets at your disposal.
Ahhh, just a few more hours til my CE is shipped.
I'm not sure how the FOB matchmaking works, but I would hope it would match other players' level to make the invasion fair.
I won't be turning on the FOB invasion mode until I've done at least one playthrough (seems it would get annoying, much like Watch Dogs). My time will be more invested in MGO, which I hope sticks around a while.
I admit, I watched a minute of the intro tutorial on twitch. It was amazing, horrifying, and just plain awesome.
Less than 6 days to go!
IKR!
But at least this way, I won't get a heart-attack when it happens in game, lol.
Just unlock it by earning $$ through the campaign.
Probably because we are only close to 2 years into this gen.
MGS4 lasted me 4 years (2008-2012) when MGO servers were put to rest. The 5 hour or so campaign took me about 8-10 hours mostly because I liked to fool around with the AI, set traps, try different routes, etc. I eventually got the platinum which you know required playing several playthroughs to receive the animal ranks.
My point is, TPP will probably be one of the last games I invest several hours in mainly because MGS is my favorite series, and I met several of my PSN buddie...
No stamina bars. How will players know when they'll be put to sleep? Does stamina regenerate over time? Do tranq body shots still stack over a set amount of time? I hope this works out somehow in TSNE because that will be my main mode of play.
Probably one of the most epic games I've played on the PS3.
Batmobile is fine for me, wish it controlled a little tighter, esp for high-speed turns. Drifting just spins me out of control.
Any idea when we will see more of MGO?
I'm sure newcomers will enjoy MGO3. If you loved MGO2, you may however, have mixed feelings.
