It was a combination of price drop with games that gave it momentum. A price drop alone would have been pointless without the games to back it up. I predict that Nintendo will drop the price in early October, just before the ps4 releases and around the release of 3d Mario.

seems like an odd move on behalf of retailers. Theyll probably get away with selling at full retail price when the games come. If those units hadnt shifted by Christmas id be cutting the price for 2014. Nice for those that waited though.
To this day rogue squadron on the N64 is still my favourite star wars game. Couldnt honestly tell you why. Think it may be the perfect difficulty level whilst keeping true to the essence of the films.

Damn forgot MarioKart. how the hell did I do that? OT WiiU will be fine. Mario HD will not single handedly save it, but it will contribute along with the other titles I mentioned and many unannounced ones.
the Rayman challenge app... I have played the hell out of that since it came out and it was free. Literally no idea where the last week and a half went.

Not sure I agree here. From August onwards there will be Pikmin 3, 3D Mario, yarn yoshi, smash brothers(rumoured 2013), wonderful 101, wii fit u(i know one for the casuals), wii party (another 1 for the casuals), windwaker hd. super luigi U(I know its DLC but its effectively a new release)
Thats just the Nintendo exclusive titles. They will also have AC4, Watch Dogs, Batman, COD, Rayman, Disney Infinity, plus a fair few more 3rd party titles.

I agree. A new IP that defines a generation in the way Uncharted did this time is what I want. Im on the fence for a PS4 at launch atm. I have a hunch that I may get pushed off the fence come the second weekend in June though.
Not sure about that. Naughty Dog deliver most of the time as well, albeit with a couple of arguably weaker crash games thrown in for good measure. Uncharted games are ridiculously good though. 2 devs that focus on quality over quantity IMHO.
Yeah I think it's a given they have the timed exclusive dlc. What I'm saying is, that unless they only show the exclusive parts they are effectively advertising a PS4 game at their launch event.
Could be interesting if they do it right. Sounds like the sort of thing we will see more of next gen. Especially from Sony with the vita/ps4 combo opening up a load of possibilities.

I was one of the few who was underwhelmed by the ps4 reveal, but at least they gave an argument as to why it would be better to own a ps4 by showing only exclusives.

does make sense to include 2012. My list is Nintendoland, Lego City and Batman (i know its an old port but i liked all the extra free content cos i never got any DLC for the ps3 version)
Dear EA please get your servers ready and tested BEFORE you release this. Not my sort of thing anyway but it bugs me when people get burned a la the Sim City farce.
