@wicked its not a 1 game rule that I have. There is literally not 1 game that I want out for ps4 so until there is im not getting one.
Sure Killzone and infamous look pretty but the gameplay just doesnt appeal to me.
I have no doubt the situation will change though.
You are correct when you say the comparison between wiiu and ps4 is shocking. For PS4 to have surpassed WiiU sales with the lack of quality titles that are available on WiiU is a sad indictment of the gaming community and shows how mindlessly the masses follow the gaming press.
Dont get me wrong PS4 has potential to be awesome, but until they release a game I find compelling I shall stick to the console thats releasing the most consistently high quality games aka WiiU.

This is spot on. So Nintendo are trying to cater to the gamers which I think is awesome but ultkmately may harm them due to the fluffy flock mentality of the "hardcore gamer" who seem to do whatever the gaming press tell them to.
I think you are spot on but I also think they have 2 reasons. They are hoping MK8 plus the Zelda reveal will move a considerable volume of WiiUs thus increasing potential sales.
The question is, can they make the WiiU version interesting enough to convince people to double dip?

Yes this is not a big deal because its personal to a self confessed Nintendo enthusiasts page. But its hardly a desperate move, given the amount of hype around this game AND we now get a free game with it.
Man Im so glqd im in Europe. I was literally days away from going to buy w101 and now Nintendo say I can have it for free for buying a game that looks like it is about to be my favourite game of all time. Not only that but there is now an item to counter the blue shell and item customisation to get rid of it altogether.
Nintendo rarely does hype, but when they do, they damn well do it right.
Maybe its Nintendos version of Morpheus/oculus rift.

In all seriousness I hope these games get the recognition they deserve, there are some excellent devs putting out great indie titles and I hope these dont go unnoticed in the mass wave of Indie releases over the next wee while.
I agree with most of these posts. The items are what makes mario kart fun. There is an element of skill to keeping in 2nd with the right items in tow to fly past your rival on the line. Or building a lead but holding on to a mushroom to immediately boost back the time you lost.

My sentiments exactly. I will buy a ps4 for Destiny and every naughty dog game going. Its highly unlikely ill get an x1 because halo/gears/forza dont interest me. If they properly reinvent Rare and release quality Conker/Banjo/Perfect Dark/ Jet Force Gemini then Im in.
Fairly poor attempt at satire IMO. You could just as easily do a satire article for Sony/MS fans on the importance they place on resolution. Eg "I had to play the new game from mischevious canine "Watching paint dry 4" it is 1080p 60FPS the whole time with only a slight drop during the wall painting cut scenes but there are 2.5 million polygons on screen at the time."

Cant see the new 3D Mario getting shown this year given that EAD can only have been working on it for 8-9 months due to having relatively recently launching 3d world.

Fairly certaib it wont be 2d/top down. Im sure I read somewhere that the scale of this Zelda is gonna be so huge that you can fit all of hyrule from OOT in the forest temple. Could just be a wild rumour but still.

Having seen all the footage 90% feels like its going to be 1 of the lower scores. Fully expecting 94/95 metacritic score for this.
