Something like Nioh, Persona 5 and Nier doesn't exactly do much for most regular people buying games. Also Niers not exclusive. I don't own an Xbox, but it would be lovely if everyone could stop with the "No games" insult, Nier, NioH, P5 have been in development for years and years (Independent from Sony btw) you really shouldn't expect this kind of output all the time.
Also god help you if you're using things like Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and KH 1.5/2.5...
SCALEBOUND LOOKED LIKE GARBAGE, it got exactly what it deserved. Fable legends looked like a poor mans Dungeon Keeper, you really think either of those games were going to move the needle in a massive way? Sorry but nooope.
I'd rather have a replaceable battery then have a controller that doesn't hold a charge. MS wanted the Xbox 360 so things like Wifi (Wifi is for Plebeians btw) and the HD DVD were unnecessary fluff. You're also talking about an Xbox division that has changed a lot since 2005, in some ways for the better and in other ways for the worse. Oh and if you bought a 360 Day one, then it didn't even have an HDMI port on the box. Other than convenience, at 720p HDMI didn't really ch...
No Sony honestly painted themselves into a corner, getting the 3.2ghz Tri core PowerPC based XB360 to work on the One is a feat of software genius. Getting PS3 titles running well on a PS4 would be impossible, at least in a straight port sense. They're just to different.
If you want the cynical answer still, they would rather downplay it then admit it's a useful Pro Consumer feature that they simply can't get to work because of the insanity of a past box.
Maybe when the PS5 releases I don't want another box? Software is software, and there is no reason my purchases from the PS4 (Given the hardware) shouldn't be able to run on a PS5 (It'll inevitably all be x86 again). I'm really trying to figure out why some of you seem to feel this isn't a good thing, I spend most of my time playing "New" games too. But maybe I want to show someone how awesome Asura's Wrath is? Or how well visually something like MGS4 holds u...
They seem to be missing the point, which is kinda self destructive.
I enjoyed my PS3, bought a lot of PSN games and yet now on my PS4 all that money spent may as well not even exist. The future is inevitably digital and having some kind of guarantee or reassurance that your purchases will carry forward and not disappear is nice. If I buy a phone game, I kind of expect to be able to use that game still even if I purchase a new phone; why should the Sony or MS ecosystem be an...
It's the platform holders who decide that they don't want AO rated games, the big three will not license an AO rated game and there are reasons beyond being "treated like children". You have rules that say AO games have to be sold like Alcohol, how long before M rated games are given the same treatment? You've had people lobbying for that, for years and you want to give them a precedent? Something to point to? Have you lost your mind?
....... You dont see the difference between buying 19 with the intent to resell for profit? And a parent ensuring they have one for both children. You either have mental development issues or you're trolling, or maybe both.
The mental gymnastics you use to rationalize your point are the kinds of black and white a child uses.
