Yeah, as long as you have a PC that allows you to view the game in that resolution. Guess what, I have a receiver that allows me to upconvert the Wii U to 4K resolution.... see the point?
Crashmo/Pushmo and Dillon's Rolling Western and its sequal don't count I guess...
Wonderful 101 may not be developed by Nintendo, but it is being published by Nintendo and will stay an exclusive because they are helping to fund it. How is this any different than say Mario Golf that isn't actually developed internally at Nintendo either, but is obviously a NIntendo IP....
Steel Diver and its future free-to-play additions is new as well. Just becaus...
Again, it wasn't ONLY Blu-ray that made it expensive. It was a few things. ANother was the Cell CPU.
@warewolfSS: If you heard the news today about the US government tapping Microsoft's (among others) servers, you would see that no conspiracy theory is too hard to believe....
What about having a camera/mic always watching? You heard the news today that Microsoft's data is being tapped by the US government, right?
I think something else has to be said about what's going on. I don't know how much of you pay attention to the news, but today it was found that Microsoft is one of the companies that's allowing the US government to tap their servers. Now, do you think it's such a great idea to own a camera/mic that is ALWAYS on and connected to the internet. I don't. I know a lot of you would bring up the whole "grab your tin foil hat, you crazies," but I think this is now a def...
Hmmm maybe another reason for Nintendo's Directs...
Far from impressive????? Have you seen Nano Assault on Wii U??? It's pretty slick looking actually.
@herbs:
The Xbox One doesn't use GDDR3.... it's just plain DDR3. The rest of what you said makes sense.
@MasterCornholio: You are comparing the Wii U's possible harder-to-develop-for setup to the PS3's??? Really? Over a little RAM issue? The PS3 was hard to develop for due to MANY reasons. A few of those include the Cell CPU, architecture, RAM pool split between graphics and general processing as well as Blu-ray.
Exactly. That's why I don't fight with naysayers. I'll just wait for the proof to arrive. Hell, "X" looks like that should have been enough to show what the Wii U can do, but apparently not.
I'd like to add something to your midterm paper if I may. Since we are going to talk about specs, let's be COMPLETELY honest here. Nobody seems to compare the amount of RAM on the Wii U and PS3/360 realistically. The Wii U has 2GBs of DDR3 RAM that which 1GB is used for games. Now, here's where things get sketchy. Everyone compares this to the 360/PS3's 512MB of Ram and then stops there. Okay? But, the OS's on the 360/PS3 also use some of that RAM. I believe, currently, th...
This is exactly what I was afraid of. The next generation is going to be a smaller leap than what was first believed. Sure, you can always add on to your engine and optimize it to look better on more powerful hardware, but only new engines will really take advantage of the consoles.
@Sono421
Yeah.... but I have a feeling you'll only be able to buy used consoles through Microsoft directly....
You need to do whatever you can to play one of those two Star Tropics games. They really are great. It's such an old IP without any mention in years that a lot of gamers probably never played it. It definitely needs a come back. It would definitely fill the Zelda gap between games.
Nintendo owns the rights. It's a Nintendo IP and the the games in the series were both published and developed by them.
@ExgamerLegends: But, it seems like there may not be too many long term gamers playing online anyway. SO their original 15,000 servers might suffice...lol
Yes, but they also pushed off the question after being asked more in depth questions. Sony said that they weren't willing to go into further detail at this point in time...
Okay???? Microsoft isn't "blocking" used games either... see the point?
Doesn't make much sense. Why come out at E3 and give any support at all then???
Yeah and what's funny is that fish have been moving out of the characters' way since Mario 64....
