Matches I play on Live are fine - I only occasionally do I get bits of lag in games, in fact none I can remember recently.

Some 360 titles do have teething troubles just after they're released - remember the Call of Duty 2 debacle? They got sorted after a patch though. Didn't Warhawk also have connection and disconnection problems until they were fixed? This isn't a specific problem for either console.

kydrice, thanks for the entertaining post but here are just a few points for you.

All businesses take on board progression of their competitors products - it doesn't make sense not too. Why do you think Microsoft do this more than anyone else?

Nintendo Entertainment System released in 1983
Sega Master System: 1986
Playstation: 1994 - obviously not copying anyone
Xbox: 2002 - OMG copycat!

You people really know how to make a leap of faith.

"Speaking to CVG earlier this year, fellow Microsoft suit Chris Satchell said that Sony's Home incorporated a lot of ideas that Xbox 360 originated, perhaps suggesting that its own MMO-style virtual world wouldn't be too much of a departure."

So one journalist's use of the phrase "perhaps suggesting" means that there will be a MS product that is a Home clone and the Sony fans all scream RIPOF...

Heh at least this game will once and for all prove which 'gamers' play certain titles they don't actually enjoy JUST to get the achievement points.

Um I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, but looking at the text above your list, I don't think that listing existing and future PS3 and 360 exclusive and crossover games together is really going to prove much except to what extent your brain is confused. Halo 3, 4 and Mass Effect on PS3?

Are you assuming that because a game is released on time, that the programmers didn't encounter any memory problems that they had to work with (or work around)?

Only someone working in the development team could really answer your questions.

Don't blaim just EA, Bioware obviously agreed a purchase price and it's stockholders will have made a whole stack full of cash in the sale.

Also no-one has mentioned much about the Pandemic titles - Star Wars Battlefront is one of the more popular ones. Hopefully the quality of games like this won't be compromised by the EA yearly update mass production line.

The Halo series has sold 20 million copies worldwide - there you go.

Oops I totally forgot about version being released - is this definitely the one in the chart? It's listed as just 'Oblivion' with over a million sales - either this is the original or maybe they're merging both versions.

That aside, I think it's still noteworthy that an updated old game is selling more than some of the PS3's newly released top titles. Sony players at least not yet aren't buying the higher rated 'must have' games in large numbers.

Anyone else notice Oblivion (360) sales at 27k? This is interesting - it's a game released a year and a half ago and it's currently selling more than two newly recently released Heavenly Sword (22k) and Warhawk (16k) that are both being hailed as AAA titles.

I guess you guys are right - 360 attach rate is huge compared to the other consoles. Up until recently you could argue that might have been partly due to the high cost of the PS3 means you have less cash left over for games...

BC will help some players decide whether to buy the system or not - especially those on a budget who want only 1 console connected to their TV and have a big back-catalogue of PS2 games.

It's that simple - any number of features help sell a system so removing any one of them will put some people off.

Beyond isn't a word that Sony owns and he only used one word that makes part of a Sony strapline - you're totally clutching at straws you tard (no offense).

I thought there already wasn't going to be a Halo4? As long as the relationship is still there with MS then Bungie will continue to input into the online side of the Halo games, this is no biggy really.
I wonder how much cash is in their bank at the moment to start developing fresh IPs.

Being part of a software team in a large company, it's understandable that you will get bored of working on one series of products for many years when you can see all the other opportunit...

So all those games have customisable games, downloadable game-types, replays, media sharing and map editing features?

Most of these you haven't even played yet because they're not out yet so I don't know where you're getting your opinions from. Personally from what I have actually played myself, I think that Resistance doesn't stand up to the quality and fun you have whilst playing Halo3

A feature listed months ago doesn't make it into the final game (this happens all the time by the way) and you assume it's because they didn't have enough room on a DVD9 disc? That's the most ridiculous assumption I've ever heard.

As mentioned above it's far more likely that it was either too difficult to code or was simply canned due to impending deadlines. But thanks for your imaginative story anyway.

If you can "guarantee" that what you say is true ...

If you look very carefully above, almost all comments are saying the same thing - Halo3 isn't the greatest game ever.

So Xbox and Playstation fans are pretty much in agreement for once. Does that stop the article turning into a flame war? Of course not!

Just a few points:

You don't have to play a game for 24hrs a day non-stop in order to prove that it's good.

Some of us have to work for a living but this still gives us the opportunity to browse and post to websites at work.

Just going by your argument and by your own judgement, do you by any chance own any consoles that are non-Microsoft? If so, there must be no must-have games for it that are preventing you from posting to n4g if that's the case....

I must have totally missed that you could upload media from Halo3. Pictures = great. Movies will be a blast to share. We're going to see some crazy things posted.

Actually people have played it so they're not neccessarily lying - particularly in the UK where a couple of retailers were selling it on Friday an Saturday in error.

Check out this thread in the UK Xbox forums - it's spattered with players with Halo3 in their game list.

So lets see... either MS bribes all game review sites, bloggers, and almost everyone who posts on forums (general opinion is that it's a fantastic game) OR you've just got sour grapes because you cannot stand the competition to do well.

What's more likely?

Oh and also MS might be going bankrupt soon when it also has to bribe the millions of 360 owners who will be buying the title and playing it online every day. Who cares if a lot of owners don't have Gold, there...
