Why is everyone wailing on MS for being original?
MS have introduced lots of new features that have been copied by other companies - everyone does it - it's called product evolution. Remember the first Xbox? First console to have a hard-drive included. Who followed suit next time?

Why do you think that releasing models makes MS lose money? Sure they will spend development time reducing the size of chips etc - most consoles do this over their lifetime. Product evolution helps sales in the long run.

From May the broadband support phone line went back to being free from a Virgin phone. Also if your download speeds are really low but you suspect you're not hitting the download limit then give them a call - sounds like you have a problem.

lol at all the 'hate EA' comments - fair enough if you hate them generally, but in this case you're judging them because someone said if EA buy Take-Two and if they delay GTA IV.

hitman, re-read my response. Playing old (right back to Xbox 1) games and demos over Live regardless of developer server support is reason enough to pay for Xbox Live. I don't want companies telling my that I can't play only the latest games online just because it's no longer profitable to keep particular servers running.

I currently have a 360 and soon I'm getting a PS3. I've played both online and even friends that only have PS3s that agree with me - Live is simply better than PSN. More people chat in game which adds a lot to the experience. Seeing which friends are online, joining their games and messaging during games just makes it all more seemless and enjoyable.

I think that would be part of the problem of giving away points.
I guess they had to negotiate a sum to pay the devs of this game in order to make it free for a while - they will be losing money by giving it away so will need to be re-embersed. If you could use points for any game then that would make it much more complicated by having to deal with all the companies that develop for XBLA.

They obviously watched Jurassic Park and decided to incorporate the attack patterns of Raptors - when you're watching an innocent looking raptor ahead is usually when you're attacked by one from the side. Thing is this happens all the time and they often only attack you from the side even after approaching from from the front.
Yeh, also Microsoft being the last to start in the console market also makes it difficult to come with totally new, fresh and original ideas - in simple terms a lot of the good and obvious ones have already been taken. But there's nothing stopping them evolving them further.
Just because your competitor has come up with a great idea doesn't mean you can't also create your own version of it (also hopefully with improvements).
