Uhm, you *do* know that the Xbox 360 outnumbers the PS3 by almost 3:1 worldwide, and in N.America, by roughly 4:1.
That R&C sold 97k on 2M PS3's is pretty good. AC6 is a moderate-to-low seller.
Xbox 360 owners by far more games per year, and, there are vastly more of them.

This isnt a game set for the game enthusiast, but a casual player or the younger set.
And, when the dust settles, 5.6 will prove to probably be a very low score. Keep your eyes on Metacritic.

This game is just one in a very long line. Yesterday it was Smackdown vs. Raw 2008, today it is PES.

Are you doing drugs? Kotaku is a japano-phile, and holds Microsoft in contempt at every opportunitiy (not just the xbox). Gizmodo is the same, except that they are Apple Cultists. Neither has a pro-Microsoft (or Xbox 360) editorial agenda.

I'd suggest that the Developers having said "the PS3 is a terrible design and the tools are terrible" would be pretty accurate. Why? You only have to see the results of the work. This game is just one of many that prove this axiom.

I'll explain why it is 8 hours. Because games are written with BUDGETS and code/art/models and animation are linear in cost with total game play.
This is why disc size is irrelevant, because the limiting factor is BUDGETS not discs.

Undoubtably, the problem is you cant play it on your PS3. If you could, Im sure you'd be singing a very very different tune.
The game looks better than the anime, the art direction is terrific. And, with an 8 hour campaign, plus online modes, its longer than most games.

N4G isnt the real world. Here, on N4G, the PS3 is vastly superior hardware to the Xbox 360, it has all the good games, the sales are higher, the games are better, and EoJ was "sold out everywhere".
Reality doesnt match what the forums on N4G say -- not even close.
