That's a wild speculation, but interesting nonetheless. Anyway, I am looking forward to this game and Soma from Frictional Games. I hope these two games announce get release dates soon!
I love the idea of the Chalice Dungeon. You can get better rewards by playing online!? Awesome! If you're not too confident with your skills, you can beat this dungeon with a friend, though the rewards may not be as good as when you beat it alone.
I wonder how many chalices there are, and where these chalices can be obtained. I hope the chalices are as random as they come.
If this dungeon can be shared, I am excited about its integration online aside from...
I really like the vibe and atmosphere in that scene. I really felt the tension and the danger they might find themselves in if they don't escape in time.
Back in the PS1 and PS2 days, Sony had tons of 3rd party exclusives, and no one really complained. I don't think Sony funded most of these games to be exclusive either. It's just that, the devs and publishers at the time thought that creating a game on one top-selling console would be more profitable than to release their games multi-platform and suffer publishing costs.
Now the PS4 is somewhat living the PS2 days. We don't know if Capcom asked for Sony to fund th...
I am liking the more technical mechanics in the game so far. I like it that some moves a character has may or may not affect the some opponents. The inclusion of the 13-year-old boy with his "breaking the 4th wall" intrusion sounds promising.
@telekeneticmantis, I agree with the procedurally generated map bit. Adding to that, I would like players to have some kind of direct influence to how the map changes.
To be honest, I wasn't that impressed ...
Seriously, I was so excited when the FFVII title and logo flashed on the screen, but my anticipation got doused almost instantly when they showed the trailer.
I don't know what SE is smoking, but Mr. Hashimoto did this during the PS4 reveal back in Feb. 2013. Now this again.
I'm not an FFVII fan as I only played it on the PS3 two years ago; however, for those who played it back in the PS1 days, and for those who got hyped by the PS3 tech demo, this jo...
Or, this could be a montage video of sorts, featuring already released PS4 games and yet to be released ones. Then after the montage vid, we'll see: "Game on or No Game. You decide!"
I can't wait till this weekend! I am betting on 2-3 new IPs and a few 3rd party exclusives!
Crazy video for a crazy event. The PS Brand is fast becoming the thing again, just like itwas during the PS2 days. Wait, is this the same PS Experience event?
I'm gonna buy this this week. I can't wait till next year. I'll probably buy Revelations, too!
Phil, you might want to join the PS brand soon; you deserve it! :)
I don't even know why Sony needs to humble down in the first place, when they are not being arrogant at all. MS with the XboxOne is going at lengths to appease the raging fans with price drops and practically "free" games bundled with the console. Isn't that telling that MS is the one being humble here, and that if they are being humble, we can consider they were the ones arrogant before?
Seriously, just because MS is super bold with their console this holid...
That new character with a gatling gun is gonna be the next bad ass character since Yurt and Scirvir in Demon's Souls, and Lautrec in Dark Souls.
The new sword-whip weapon looks like a Soul Calibur (Ivy) weapon. Me Likey!!!
Nintendo has a tendency to have awesome Japanese games that don't make it to the west. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse comes to mind.
Curiously, niche titles like Disgaea and games from Omega's dev do get Western release which somewhat baffles me.
On the side note: I am glad JRPGs like this gets translated. I just hope Japan welcomes Engish as a secondary language (ESL) some more, so they don't spend a lot of time translating.
I hope Insomniac creates a new IP for the PS4 after this. I've heard great things about SO, so I hope it sells well (I don't own an XboxOne, though). That said, Insomniac might port this to the PS4 down the road, though I would really prefer a new IP exclusive to the PS4 from Insomniac to a port.
I thought Sony just announced they're at 13 million plus consoles sold, and XBoxOne just at 5.6 million?
I think this is old. I believe I've seen this trailer about 1-2 weeks ago.
Edit: Still, I'm eagerly anticipating at least 2 new games to be announced at this event.
I hope this game releases in 2015. If it releases in 2016, it will have been announced for 10 years (FFvs13 was announced waaay back in 2006).
I want to see what Level-5 is up to these days. They did say that they started working on a PS4 game sometime ago. I also really need to see P5's gameplay; I hope we do before the year ends!
@Fullmetalevolust, yeah I also would like to learn Japanese so I can play more JRPGs!
Your list looks like a voting ballot in a very one-sided, corrupt country! :D
I am very confident that this game will deliver. I have a feeling much of the game mechanics and story details are deliberately chosen to be under wraps so as we, the gamers, would experience the game with surprise and great immersion!
February 2014, I have you under my radar!
