I thought MS would've benefited from this game at TGS if they showed some playable section of this game. I guess the next year's E3 is where it's going to be fully unveiled.
I don't have an Xbox, and I don't think I will buy one, but this game is very welcome on the platform. This could be the next DMC, so I hope this game truly delivers.
I think RAD has decided to not show us a lot, even with their demos. I believe they are confident about their game, and that it's going to deliver.
On the side note: Despite the negative criticisms RAD has been getting, the devs are mum and humble all the way. I know they have put a lot in this game, so I'm gonna buy to find out!
Oh well, at least I'm confident that the PS4 will get JRPGs in the future in the names of Persona, Tales of, Final Fantasy, Disgaea, and more.
I know mobile gaming is booming in the East, but I just want new JRPG IPs to hit the next gen.
I have nothing against mobile gaming, but, c'mon!
Kojima wasn't kidding, this game will probably make people shit their pants! Awesome atmosphere and chilling moments!
Since Persona 5 is coming out on the PS4, and I'll be getting it there, this (ToZ) will probably be my last PS3 game. Awesome!
A game that opens up 20 hours in sounds like Final Fantasy XIII. Oh, wait. FF XIII needed you to play 30 hours until it opens up. /s
I'm excited about some new mechanic they will implement in this game. I didn't mind bound, I just hope more interactivity in every stage, like wall specific moves perhaps?
That makes sense; I think I spoke too soon. However, this approach is quite double-edged. If the masses don't like the first episode, it's not like Capcom can cancel the development of the remaining episodes.
Maybe there will be more chapters than 4; maybe development of the chapters beyond the 4th will depend on the success of the initial episodes.
What I don't get is the episodic approach. Capcom said that if you buy all four episodes on one disc, you will get extra content for a couple of dollars more. So why would I get the game per episode if the complete experience can be had after a month or so?
I'm thinking they will finally unveil the online component of the game. I'm calling it now: It's gonna be a Journey-esque online system.
That was hilariously awesome! This is why I refuse to be in the games development business; I don't want to know about games more than I should as a gamer.
Probably. I know not much about QB, but I know it has some time-bending/stopping mechanic to it. QB looks great, but I'm not a fan of time manipulation in games.
On-topic: I'm getting this feeling that these devs could be the next ND. Hope they pull this off and have their company receive instant recognition!
The first two paragraphs sold me already. This game is quite ambitious, having three different main characters in three different timelines. My interest level is now at 99%!
Let's see: The devs said that they want this game on a console, not a handheld. The Wii-U doesn't have enough units worldwide, the Xboxone (in Japan) is out of the question, while the PS4 is yet to reach 1 million units in Japan, but has about 10+ million units all over the world.
So the question is, if you were the head of the business department at SE, which of the three consoles would you rather release DQXI on?
I choose the PS4.
So it's more Monster Hunter than Dynasty Warriors? I need to see actual gameplay, then I'll pass minor judgment.
If only Capcom makes RE: Revelations 2 to feature 2 different storylines, one being truly alone, without Moira or Claire, and another being with an AI/Player controlled partner, then that would be awesome.
Imagine playing the same game but with different scenes because you played the game twice: first without co-op, second with co-op. Now I would agree to this, simply because I will probably not play the co-op part.
To be fair, many gamers who didn't grow...
If this isn't a Musou game, I guess we can consider it a game much like Kingdom Hearts; however, the wealth of enemies on screen screams Musou.
Did you say an island as the backdrop? I think I'm sold!
Edit: I'm just not quite sure with the whole forced co-op thing. I hope co-op is purely optional, and I mean you can really play with Claire or Moira alone!
I think the night/day cycle is very welcome here. Also, I believe they also wanted to have a smoother transition post-battle, but decided against it, because then the characters won't have the chance to pose and have mini conversations after battle!
