He sees Mario and Zelda as what make their console unique, but don't see what exclusive games the PS4 and the XboxOne have that make them unique? The PS4 and the XboxOne may be quite identical when it comes to 3rd party support, but that's not a bad thing - that's a good thing. At least you can really buy either if you prefer the exclusives each offers, and then play 3rd party games as well.
The Wii U is something that's on my buy list, really, but this statem...
Curious argument. I was hoping to read such comments in favor of the Xbox One like, "With SSO and MCC coming out, sales will be healthy for the XBoxOne soon, and might steal the thunder from Sony."
I never knew that servers sway most Australians into preferring a console to another.
That's comforting to know. I am planning to pick this up on PS4. For me RE6 was just too much of what it shouldn't have been. Even my nephew who likes pump-action in games disliked the campaigns outside Leon's.
I really hope they release a Blood-red PS4 bundled with the game before February next year. I'm holding off on buying a PS4 because of this possibility.
This and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter excite me somewhat.
And that point in time will not happen anytime soon. But don't worry, the next price drop will happen without that stagnation happening for the PS4.
Case in point: The PS4 needs not respond to the price drop of the rival console just because. The PS4 will still sell well even if the competition has a lower price tag. Remember that the PS3 sold at a loss during its initial years; why would Sony lower the PS4's price at this time when it is selling with great profit? <...
Good point. I was about to reply to his comment. Anyway, I am not planning to get this game anytime soon as I will let the community do awesome levels first before I do. I'll probably buy the PS4 version, too!
It's once in a lifetime now since it's Sony Playstation's 20th anniversary. That's why it's gonna be a big deal. Sony is just banking on their tenure in the gaming business, so they can hype this somewhat.
I never got into the CoD series. I was about to in 2008, but I chose to buy The Orange Box, instead. Maybe if CoD was not such a yearly franchise, I would buy into it. It just that, and it's a personal preference, I kinda invest my time playing the online portion of a game for at least 2 years, and if a game is a yearly franchise, I kinda get discouraged somehow.
Well, I'm sure this game will make a lot of fans happy. Sorry for my ramblings. :)
I never played another AC game after AC2, primarily because the yearly AC put me off. However, this game is making me become a believer again. One question, though: Can you play and finish this game without co-op? And is the online play drop-in-drop-out or launched from a lobby?
I'm planning to buy Persona 4 on the US PSN Store in preparation for P5. Can someone tell me if I will miss a lot if I play the original P4 instead of P4: Golden?
On-topic: I'm all drooling for all these game, honestly! I want Bloodborne now! February can't come soon enough!
@Lovespuds, I'm actually siding with Sony here. I'm sorry if "bombardment of games" confused you. I should've said a few exclusives are coming out this fall for the Xbox One - Sunset Overdrive and MCC come to mind.
On-topic: If some Xbox One fans believe that this fall is for MS to take because of the aforementioned titles, then February will be a sweet month for the PS4.
I must admit that Sony has no other exclusives coming out this Fal...
@ManiacMansion, I guess it's true what they say that the US is too focused on itself when it comes to fad. A Blockbuster doesn't need to be western-focused all the time you know?
I don't really have anything about the Xbox One, but the people who back their console purchase so blindly I somehow do. The PS1, PS2, and PS3's last years have been filled with awesome games, and I am not going to argue that that's what Sony is going to do in tradition, and as a thank you to consumers, for the PS4.
The PS4 might not have a bombardment of games at this time when compared to the Xbox One (I'm talking about this Fall 2014), but across this year,...
With all these price drops the Xbox One has been receiving, one can't begin but wonder that MS is just in this generation's gaming industry to move units and not actually gain profit. Considering that MS is a huge company, which allows them to make this bold move, this is not an unfounded speculation.
MS is, in my opinion, desperate to outsold the PS4, even though they know they are moving units at a loss. To be honest, the 50-dollar price cut plus a (free) game is to...
If its worthiness is all about eye candy, then I might consider it. However, every thing else about this game is so poorly executed that, bar graphics, makes it a tedious affair.
For all PC gamers out there, just play FF7, 8, or 9. I also recommend the FFXII for the PS2 and FFX HD collection for the PS3. Skip this and save your money. Please!
Edit: I just would like to point out that FFX, with game design very similar to FFXIII, is miles better than FFXIII wi...
I keep telling myself that Bloodborne is the game that would make me buy a PS4 in a heartbeat. Looks like Bloodborne now has competition. Can't wait for this game, honestly!
Which platform has the most exclusives this year is debatable. All I know, which is a running fact for the last 3 console generations now, is that Sony's PS4 will continue to grow in library even after a couple of years past the last console support for the XBoxOne.
You just answered your own question. Many gamers care (though not really a big deal) about day/night cycle. Day/night cycle opens great game elements exactly how you described Majora's Mask's. To be fair, we don't know how the day/night cycle will play out in this game, but for immersion's sake, it should have it.
JRPGs have inns, and wouldn't be more appropriate that they be represented and used better?
Shuhei even said that he doesn't want Nintendo to go (leave the gaming business). He was also quite sincere about it.
