I'm ready to see TLG truly unfold at E3!
I'm not much into SRPGs but I will buy this game when I get to clear my backlog. I missed this on the PS3, I'll try not missing it a second time.
If only the US version of Persona 5 releases on 15 September, I would get it first than FFXV. I have been an FF fan since IX, but XIII just made me an old hag with bitterness after painfully forcing myself to beating it. Thankfully, XV made me a believer again, mostly after playing the Platinum Demo.
What if P5 US version gets announced for a 15 September 2016 release at E3? I'm gonna flip!
@AvaDevine, the first level includes the boss battle on the ship. If you beat him, you'll get the right to download the DLC item. It's nothing too grand like story DLC, but it's a welcome gesture.
It's not a PS+ exclusive demo as far as I'm concerned, so go download it now. It's a great demo, which will last you about 10-15 hours to complete. Finishing the first level earns you a free DLC too!
I spent about 20 hours playing the demo, and all I can say is it's already a day-one purchase for me. What baffles me is why it has an average score of 4/5 stars on the PlayStation Store. I know the score is based on it being only a demo, but it's one gem of a demo!
This demo is longer than I expected! As a Souls fan since 2009 (when Demon's Souls was released), I am really liking Nioh. I am liking it not just because of the influences from the Souls series, but also the unique mechanics at play that set it apart from its inspiration.
Sigh... The gameplay looks awesome, but I want VP on my console! I wonder how it plays...
This demo is spectacular! Seriously, I haven't played a demo and got hooked in my life until Nioh Alpha Demo! I submitted my feedback just now and I hope they take into consideration all of my suggestions! :)
Call it Xbox One II 3. Ahahaha!
The article was kind of downplaying the uniqueness of Nioh. Given that it borrows a lot from the Souls series, I still praise Nioh for having some mechanics that actually work:
-Guardian meter
-Stance system
-Stamina (Ki) refund
-Enemy punishments (when they run out of Ki)
I also like how the stamina gauge works in Nioh. When you deplete it, the character would catch his breath until it recharges. Enemies falling off of cliffs are also hi...
I want this to be a regular game and not VR. If VR integration is optional, I'm all for it. :)
Well this came out of nowhere! This the closest thing we can get in terms of a current-gen Valkyrie Profile game (because we all know that the next VP game is a mobile title... eh).
Woohoo, Nioh excites me! I hope we get a lengthy demo though.
I can't wait for what Sony is going to surprise us with at this year's E3!
If Star Ocean 5 can do seamless battles, why not Tales? I just hope that the next tales goes truly open world. The map-to-map traversal in recent titles was somewhat immersion-breaking to me.
I'm so bummed I haven't played P4 yet. I want to, but I don't have a Vita nor a Vita TV. I hope they make a port of P4G on the PS4 before or after P5!
I want to be excited about this game, since I've been a VP fan since the original on the PS1. However, I simply can't. I'm not offending gamers who play on mobile, but VP has always been a console title. VP going mobile is heartbreaking for me. Sigh...
I think ND is just avoiding to promote the XOne brand. Plus they are Sony's 1st party studio, so it's only proper for them to play it on the PS4.
I played this game way, way back and loved it. I'd say Jen and Scree's tandem was spot on. The story was engaging and the set pieces were intriguing too. You guys should give this a try!
