Oh please. Has it ever occurred to the article poster that electronics companies like Sony have a department called R&D? As we speak they are researching and developing prototypes of gaming advancements, so I wouldn't dare call out Sony in terms of being uncompetitive on this front. And to quell the fire of this article, Sony just released PSVR; is there any other console with this new peripheral out in the market? So who's not innovating now?
@DragonKnight, yeah I would love Tidus and his father to band together in FFX-3. @beaks, that's not a bad idea. Though that's gonna be a prequel of sorts, which should rename the game as FF Ante-X (ante is Latin for "before").
To be fair with NMS, the original intent of the developer was just a procedurally generated game. The vision they established in the game was never about online coop or any of the online stuff. It was just marketed poorly with miscommunication thrown in.
It's weird, I've waited 10 years for this game and yet I don't feel half as excited as before. Maybe the fact that you only get to control Noctis alienates me a bit. Past mainline FF games have always allowed for character switching...
Don't they mean DII?
There's definitely horror themes in BB that get to you in certain places. Scary set-pieces and enemies truly give you that creeped out feeling! I hope BB2 comes soon!
I'll wait for the official announcement. They might pull off another ambiguous, 1-year exclusivity deal with MS again.
This statement is also telling that the Xbox brand is yet again "ok" with being the follower and not the leader. The VR presence is there, and I know Sony, Oculus and HTC are enjoying their own achievements in the VR space. Sony's PSVR, however, has console VR gaming monopolized--that's an achievement right there. Sure, MS. Wait until Sony gains more ground in the VR scene. By then, the PS brand will have a new innovation that you will again copy a few years after.
Bloodborne, I believe, perfected combat--it's fluid, very responsive and full of personality. I don't want another DLC, since The Old Hunters pretty much satisfied me. I want a sequel, however, and I want it announced soon!
The release dates of Nier, Nioh, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Persona 5 are so close together that I am having a dilemma as to which one I should buy first. I am leaning towards Nioh though! Nier is also good stuff!
I have nothing but positive emotions for this new yet familiar direction for Resident Evil. If RE7 provides a good-enough story, balanced combat, interesting puzzles, and game length akin to RE4, then I'd say Capcom really has REvived the franchise!
I love Nintendo; I grew up with their NES/SNES consoles. That said, most of my teen years have been dedicated to PS gaming. I know Mario and Zelda can never be replaced, and may only be experienced on Ninty's console; however, I can say the same about a variety of PS exclusives. I don't want to miss out on what Naughty Dog is cooking up (TLoU 2?), as well as future projects from Sony Santa Monica, Sucker Punch and a whole lot of other PS 1st party devs.
Here's t...
I am quite stoked about this new console. I am really determined to buy it, since I have been craving for Nintendo games, such as Zelda and Mario for the past decade. My last Ninty experience was during the SNES era truth be told. That said, my primary concern about the Switch is the removable parts, including the main "dockable" console. Thing is, the more movable/detachable parts a gadget has, the easier it is to break over time. I should also be concerned about the battery life, ...
That was unique. It's time for me to make the Switch... Well not really, I'll just buy this one and have a gaming combo of PS4 and NSwitch!
I loved Modnation Racers which they co-developed with Sony San Diego. It's sad to hear news like this, but I pray to God all of its employees get a new job soon!
Red Dead Renegade or Read Dead Resurrection!
Edit: Read Dead Remastered!
Ehh... There's a reason why gaming on consoles is called console gaming. If you want to game on PS Consoles, buy them; they're not expensive these days anyway. And can the gaming media stop dictating what Sony, or any other console companies, should do. If you want to play PC games, you either have PC-only games or XboxOne games. The closest thing you can get in terms of PS gaming on the PC is subscribing to PSNow.
Diversity is the PS brand's incidental motto, judging from its fruitful history. Remember, the X360 tried its best to woo Japanese gamers in by capitalizing on JRPGs during its early days. That didn't really do much, because the PS brand then was branded as the JRPG console of choice among other things, and the X360 simply couldn't keep the momentum.
Anyway, Nioh and Persona 5 are gonna be well-received by not just Japanese gamers, but by other gamers around the...
It would have been so much better if SE released the core game only (without the DLCs and whatnot) for $19.99. SE left many fans with no choice but to wait 1 year a year ago to play this game. They could've at least given PS4 gamers the choice to buy RotTR with just the core experience for cheap.
I know, but I specifically mentioned console and in this generation, bar Virtual Boy of course.
Edit: And my question towards the end is more of a challenge rather than an imposing downplay against other consoles.
