if you read every book, do every side quest, and listen to every NPC conversation option it's probably ~200 hours
Wow it's actually coming out? It's been in development for like 5 years, I was starting to think it was vaporware
After what happened with Rising and what Kojima said about hiring leads from outside the company for future projects he wouldn't be handling himself. I would guess that he is looking for some experienced leads to come in and get the studio in line, now that he has a management position at Konami he can't micromanage every project anymore.
Wow, now i am worried about the quality of the game. If something as simple as turning on Gamepad support with the 360 mapping is to hard for them to do in time. What else are they cutting?
It's not like it would be some massive task to implement, the controls are already built for 360, and Unreal engine has has support for the 360 pad. I doubt it would take one guy more than a few days to get it all up and running.
Hence the Kickstarter...
Personally i would prefer a original IP
cool more developers need to add DX11 support for better performance even if they aren't going to add any DX11 effects.
cool I love me some loot
i have tried to play DA: O like three times and i have never made it past half way
The witcher 2 and counter strike Go are both coming to consoles...
well with Vita and PC versions coming of course it is going to keep selling. I hope this is a sign for them to make more games like it.
I will be picking this up
Why do i get the feeling that it's buthurt PS3 fanboys?
Seriously a very talented man just died young, they need to get over themselves.
The trouble is AI is not really a CPU power problem, it's a programing one. You could have much better AI on current consoles if they devoted a dozen programers to program hundreds of potential behaviors that may take up a little more RAM and a little CPU but nothing that current hardware couldn't handle. Medieval total war for example has AI for literally thousands of units running as well as tactical AI and it will run on a a CPU that is no more than twice as powerful as the one in ...
@Sashamaz they are...
"The Xbox 360 version of Skyrim outsold all Xbox 360 exclusive titles"
"Skyrim on PS3 also outsold all PlayStation 3 exclusive titles on that platform."
it's a pity that Activision owns the rights to the interstate franchise, the first game of that series is by far my favorite car combat game.
actually the audience for the PS3 is the audience of the PS3 lol
CD Project have said they won't outsource anymore after the disaster that was the Rise of the White Wolf (the console version of the first game) which they outsourced and they ended up canceling because of how bad it was.
Hell no MS would ruin them just like they did to Rare and Lionhead, I don't want it to end up like Fable and console first and tones of payed DLC.
CD Project are much better off independent where they are free to release lots of patches and free content for their fans.
The potential audience for a PS3 version of The Witcher 2 would be rather small unfortunately, I mean how many gamers that would be interested in a hardcore story focused WRPG own a PS3 and not a 360 or capable PC? It would be a 6 month old port of a 8 month old port, that is not going to sell well. Their effort would be better spent getting the Witcher 3 and their new IP out.
has the price been announced yet?
A lot of PC gamers like to hook their PC up to their TV and play on the couch etc, in that situation a gamepad is a better option that an keyboard & mouse. Plus the game is designed around a gamepad anyway so it doesn't really take much advantage of K&M.
