Fanboys have a hard time facing reality.

Quarter million is first month sales for the PC version...
Old-schoolers will eat it up, no doubt.
I'm thinking this will do about 500k the first month between consoles and PC.
It wasn't just "pretty unforgiving", you would land the ship, step a rookie off the Sky Ranger's platform and *BAM*...Alien lands a headshot.
The old games were blatantly unforgiving because they acted like they were there to take over the planet. It was harsh, bitter and tons of fun.
I didn't much care for the XCOM demo because it was too hand-holdy. But hopefully they fixed this in the full game. I also hope there's someway to inc...
I think it's two-fold.
You're right, I see games like Journey and The Unfinished Swan and it's easy to see that if devs sacrifice graphics for gameplay we could experience some truly great and new experiences on today's consoles.
However, how many devs are going to sacrifice graphics for gameplay? And how many pubs will let that happen?
I'd love to see more games like Mount & Blade on consoles, and again, if they sacr...
Oh yeah, great article. Really worth the read!
XSeed is a champion amongst the import crowd. They really do aim to please and they're one of the few pubs left who do it right.
They definitely deserve props.
I'd really, really like to see what the opposing argument is to your statement because several morons disagreed with you like silent-Sams.
They were probably publisher shills who grumbled at the truth of your post, disagreed and ran back under the Sithlord robe of Bobby Kotick.
lol @ the guys who got their messages hidden by butthurt mods? LOL
Nothing worse than a butthurt blogger after trolling for hits.
Ahaha, Cheapy D ftw...guy always used to come to my rescue even though the Brutes would usually royally murder him.
But you got you looking at dat arse.
It's not the devs.
We keep looking at the problem in the wrong way.
It's the pubs.
Devs want to make great games.
Gamers want to play great games.
Pubs only care about money.
Pubs will use devs to schieve fans (i.e., EA using Bioware during the ME3 ending debacle even though it was EA's fault) and when the devs rep takes a hit the pubs just bury them and find another one.

Thanks for that translation. It spared me having to read a lot of BS.
Wii's been dead since well before 2012. Just saying.
I think it just breaks down the reality that critics finally held their own for once during this age of over-promotion and advertorial content.
It's good reviewers didn't shriek away just because RE6 was an AAA game.
They're all pay-to-win.
It's annoying how companies keep trying to force-feed this model onto everyone like it's as good as sliced bread.
Firefall was alright but it was such an isolated grindfest where most people were just trying to kill-farm by themselves. The world was also pretty static so it felt like a themepark.
That's another prob. With all these me too F2P titles why the heck are so many repetitive WoW-wannabe them...
Dang, DSO Gaming never disappoints. This is awesome.
Don't you mean Sony would have to convince to include without it being premium DLC?
Oh crap, I remember this terrible game. You had to buy different cereal to gain access to the additional levels/episodes.
It was cheesy and stupid but, yeah, it was basically Doom for kids. Although, the incessant fart noises from the walking green poo really was annoying.
Same boat as you.
Got a gaming rig and now I can't look at console games without noticing jaggies, 30fps framte-rate caps and low-res textures.
The exclusives are good (though outside of Halo/Forza I can't really say the 360's exclusives are worth it) but I just can't game on consoles anymore.
Overclocking my GPU on a modded version of STALKER with all those graphic tweaks is like a completely different experience than what ...
Dude, he's crying wolf right now.
