Maybe next gen those that want a Cross-play Console will buy one?
GamePass would have to catch up by about 6x or so to match PS Now's game library. Bloodborne has ran it's course as a game that launched early 2015. Developers got their well earned money so Sony rewarded that milestone by adding it to PS Now.
Of course. I get it now. Had to throw some type of ammo at Sony's direction. I mean before the week of Spider-Man's review embargo and launch. All those gamers Sony isn't listening to lending their wallets over at the game store this Friday to Play yet another AAA PlayStation exclusive.
Pre-ordered. It's going to be a blast. Never played a Spider-Man game in my life. But this brings new life. And it's Sony and Insomniac. Two things to keep you awake at night.
This makes it sound like it's up for debate during the next election. No company or companies should be able to force the hands of their competitors. Ask the gaming audience that is closing the gap to 100 million consoles sold where they think they best place to play is. And not everyone buys a Windows PC to game on. And there are alternatives to Windows. How about Microsoft just make all their Halos, Gears and Forza Multiplat? You know to reach every gamer despite what they play on.
Seems like Project Scarlett might be the first Discless Console. Stream and digital purchase box. Would make sense. Probably $299 at launch. Just speculation. Last thing I think is that quality and artistic talent and strong writers is what is going to be needed to get really Good 1st Party Games. Microsoft be default is the foundation of a bunch of nerds. Without that grasp for talent it just easier to buy it. Waiting for the good AAA games to come out of their court if they're serious a...
When exclusives go out the window, automatically you will lack competition and quality of work. People by Big Macs because they like Big Macs and it's exclusive to McDonald's. If they want a Duritos Locos Tacos they are exclusive to Taco Bell. If there were never any exclusives there would be no purpose in there being a Nintendo platform, PlayStation Playform or Xbox. Everyone would just play on PC inevitably as the Monopoly would be just about complete.
Hate is such a strong word for DLC. I for one am ecstatic the content coming out for this game. If in don't get some DLC on God of War soon I might have to be expecting God of War: Fimbulwinter teaser by E3 next year.
Alternatively, we do NOT have a large variety of players of all walks of life gaming on our product.
That's about the only reason why I would motivate Sony to enable Cross-play. Just so you can directly see who you are playing with or against weather it's shooter, sport, MMORPG. I would like us to see platform and country someone is playing from. To statistically see who is dominating the map in factions and raids. That much would be fun.
I really need to pass my Security plus exam so I can get back to gaming.
Key difference though. Sony has allowed every 600+ plus game on PS Now to live up to it's potential at retail before throwing it on PS Now. The PS4 games that are on there now have ran their course.
Yeah don't have Bluetooth, chargers and a backup controller?
It's been 10 months so it's probably a new console. Or it could be Microsoft's very own VR if I'm actually being nice today. Scarlett could be code for it being a red headset. Other ideas is a new controller. Although a reveal for suspense is a little strange, PlayStation usually just throws it up on their blog. Last idea is the Xbox All Access subscription combining Xbox Live and Gamepass.
Yeah this is backed by Bandi Namco. Not say that it's a bad thing but not the same as the partnership with Sony. The minute you go multiplatform you notice the difference in quality. That's just a fact. Wonder why this isn't going to Switch though?
Maybe that's what the rumored Xbox All Access thing is for. Thinking it was just the combination of Xbox Live Gold and Gamepass though so maybe not. Either way, I hope Tomb Raider succeeds.
You're absolutely right. The gameplay is different. The theme is different. Everything is different now. Kratos told you not to dwell on it yet here you are. 😋. I think his team made lacked vision at the time and probably has a lot more of it now.
Cherry-Picking. Fallout 76 is like whatever, is way more appealing than a card game but the card game is some much more important because it's platform is playable on mobile. Let's not mention that the more appealing game (Fallout 76) will outsell the competition most likely 2 to 1 and is not even playable on Switch. Where is the outcry for that? I think if Sony were to budge on Crossplay it would be to require a PlayStation Plus account. Other than I could really care less.
Exactly. No Halo, No Gears, No Crackdown, No Fable, No new games. More of the same though from Microsoft. Huge third party Support from other Publishers. Sony has Spider-Man out today and a userbase that is just going to decimate software numbers this holiday. Plus Nintendo with their Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and I think they have a Pokemon game coming.
