You read it correctly. For whatever reason (COD BLOPS 4 and RDR 2) has helped PlayStation have one of their most successful October months since 2002.
Because it's devistating to your court case. We use Vgchartz because it's the only closest estimation of software sales we have. Know God of War Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-Man are a success on top of NPD further proving it we get Worldwide estimates through Vgchartz. And if the numbers are close a least gamers know all those sales will turn into new and more games.
Not how badly we think Xbox is doing but how much we know. Sony fans asmire the 3 to 1 sales ratio between the two and are confident that developers will continue to support PlayStation because it sell their games. PlayStation gamers go out a purchase and play games. And admittedly most of us are looking forward to next gen where Microsoft may support the production of a steady stream of AAA exlusive games. We can't explain to you where the other percentage of Microsoft's Fanbases ar...
I just hope that if Sony launches PS5 they have two models available to the public. One with a disc drive for those who like Physical to include 4K Blu-ray support at most $499 and one with discless just incase there are customers into that for $349/$399 price range. That way everyone is happy - mostly.
Mark my words. If Microsoft makes an Xbox that super powerful, I will not buy it. If it comes with a quality, unique AAA that appeals to me then I will buy your console. Any that can compete toe to toe with Uncharted, TLoU, God of War, HZD or Spider-Man and you will have a customer in me.
Only Sony. Announcing their Black Friday Week sales one week in advanced. Just like they did last. And still everything sold out before Black Friday was even here. Ready to see how this holiday goes.
Those are only on PlayStation and Nintendo this gen.
They'll push the pro harder when the PS4 Pro Slim come out. Base PS4 is still their money maker.
If Sony does get left behind then by that time I'm guessing Sony doubles down on their first party studios. So that games release periodically. And also PS Now continues to grow their library and grow with new technology.
Blizzard going Mobil, Square-Enix going subscription base and Microsoft Pushing streaming like it wasn't a thing towards the beginning of this generation along with now Google Stream beta. At this rate only Sony can even Nintendo can screw up royally but going down this route. Nintendo always behind the power curve and living in last gen technology era. Can't fit Red Dead 2, Assassin's Creed, COD or Fallout on Switch just the little cartoon games. Which is fine I mean it caters to...
In game shop bot by developer.
I think the key point of the article is that Sony contacted the developer first. Much like Microsoft or Nintendo would if they were interested in a game that would benefit their business.
With activision as your dad and the rise of mobile gaming new WoW games and Diablo games will lack immersion and quality. This is what first Party studios is important.
There is no immersion in playing a video game on a cell phone.
Then those people will lose out. Life isn't fair. I will wait for 3rd party talent to arrive. I liked Tomb Raider reboot. And Rise of the Tomb Raider. And will most likely give Shadow of the Tomb Raider a shot. But the IP doesn't get the sales it deserves base on third party rush it out tactic.
Someone has got to say it. Lend Tomb Raider to one of Sony's developers just once. Naughty Dog or Santa Monica and it will sell over 1 million first week off of quality alone.
That's the worst way to build up a backlog. That's like saying never drive to work just incase a newer model or your preferred car comes out in a couple years.
@darthv72
Damn all those downvotes even though you were kidding and can admit PlayStation is doing solid this gen. Hope they continue this success next gen. Theirs fans disserve it.
I think as we begin to see more and more conversation like this it might be more realistic than ever before to see PS5 either next year or if not just as soon as materials for the console are capable of mass production. 2019 at it's earliest can focus on the console launch with one or 2 exlusives with 2020 focusing on both Cross-gen titles and more exclusives. Price drop also for PS4 and Pro has to be inevitable before the year is up. Making the PS5 launch price flexible. Presuming PS5 ru...
Marvel Approached Sony. Not Ubisoft, Activision or anyone else. You want to point blame to anyone, blame Marvel. Marvel went with a publisher the could trust. Sony went with a non 1st party developer.
