That's why I think the Crossplay conversation is a terrible waste of resources. These BR games are throw away games. Kind of like KIA automobiles. The next BR for something similar will come out and the current interest in PUBG and Fortnight now will dissipate. Cross platform play on true MMOs that have a purpose make more sense to me.
@ dirkdady
According to vgchartz (if you got a better source, I'll bite):
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Xbox One = 1.58m
PS4 = 1.94m with an 11 month delay.
To me it just seems that in this case the timed exlusive deal was just a bit giant waste of time and money.
@ Naruga.
For Spider-Man anyway, we'll have to find out by press release numbers but I am confident there is no loss of sales potential just because you're waiting for a complete edition.
Yeah, also I think a PS4/Pro price drop coupled with Kingdom Hearts 3 bundle would do Japan some good.
I think their waiting for the numbers to slow down first. What sounds better? 3 million worldwide in 1 week or 5 million worldwide in 2 weeks? It's really up to them. They could be waiting to announce 10 million in one month. The potential is there.
I have a theory about that. The majority of all Xbox One owners also have a PS4. In their house they have both PS4 and Xbox One. No wonder why Crossplay is such a big deal for them. They are more worried about crossplaying with a family member or friend at home then a game Microsoft had marketing rights to.
I agree. In some case Timed Exlusive just doesn't seem wise. Either make it Multiplat from the beginning or straight exclusive and have attention to detail on a single platform.
God of War is so good that there demands to be more. Either sequel or prequel. Playing Spider-Man now. Absolutely fun amazing game.
All I know is Sony has been suspiciously quiet lately since E3. Aside from their last Crossplay comment, and Spider-Man launching they haven't mentioned much about update FW 6.00 or new features and concepts since hinting at PS Network ID name change since PSX last year. My assumption is they're nesting all their eggs for PSX this year. The list of possible announcements to be made at PSX this year both their Fanbase and other Fanbases can include:
1) Cross-Console Play (mayb...
That's because Sony has different priorities. First and Foremost, the best games to consumers developers can possibly make. 2nd, give developers the best tools you can give them for the best price for the customer. Microsoft has the priority of First and Foremost Xpensive console first. 2nd another Xpensive console hopefully just in time for us to release some games people actually care about. In automobile comparison Microsoft has built the Lamborghini of Consoles with maybe a quarter of...
Lol nice. On topic, I like interviews when a CEO or president of a company actually sits down and shares the meat and potatoes of where they're that, who their partners are and just be human for once. Not just a bunch of PR representatives or "Spokesperson" of the company. I feel we get factual news when it comes from the source. The people who work hands-on with the product.
You probably don't play any PS4 videogames on top of all that rant do you?
I downloaded it this morning at 5:45 am. If they weren't there before when you go to and icon on the dashboard like PS+ it says PlayStation plus at the top. Such a minor I detail that I really don't remember if it was there before. Until actually notes come out showing what's new I couldn't tell any difference. Maybe it runs smoother. Maybe.
Microsoft would first have to have a relationship with Marvel or DC. And that goes deeper to Disney and Warner Brothers. Sony has their own movie division by the way so they get movies at least. Microsoft gets The Official Console of the NFL. However I think if Microsoft made a deal with Remedy, they can make a really good Punisher game. I also think Hulk could do really with either the Halo or Gears Developers. I think something like Xman would be a fantastic approach to an MMO unfortunatel...
This! I would like to see a well crafted story driven FPS game from Sony again. Not really sure from which developer yet though. Would mind seeing the new San Diego studio answer to it.
What was your favorite game of the year?
Edit: so far.
I think each game if done well matches the template it's supposed to be on. BOTW wouldn't be the game it is if it used a different template. God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider-Man although similar I guess maybe in thought aware very different games. Skill Trees, yes, upgrades, yes. Open World yes. Possibly with God of War. Three distinctively different characters and stories. The Archer, The Axeman, and the web swinging melee combatant. If these 3 games picked another way to p...
I like PlayStation and I generally like and enjoy Tomb Raider games. There really hasn't been one that I dislike. Just like how I enjoy Uncharted. Both on the same console. Pretty convenient. Infact I bet if it wasn't for Elena Fisher getting to the jewels I bet Drake and Croft can make a killer assassin.
You were downloading that Spider-Man weren't you? 😋
Looks like Kratos has another Battle Buddy.
