Id games tend to be straight forward, but solid shoot'em ups. I'm excited but giving it a wait and see approach. The reviews will be a big factor.

If this shameful vision of Final Fantasy sinks Square, and I hope it does, then it might be a good thing. Well, you're crawling in a freaking sewer in one of the demo so yeah it's a set path. I don't know about you but the last thing I want is an open world sewer. Aside from that it appears that the game is something like Borderlands with more badass and less repetitive loot whoring.
So there's going to be quick time "action", great. Well that changes everything! I wonder why its so hard for Square to develop a none crap JRPG.
Having seen vids of this in action, all I gotta say is why? Console gamers use motion controls to imitate mouse like movements. There's no reason to use something like this when every PC gamer already have the best shooter controls right in front of him.
Will the 360 version looks better? This article is missing that angle to achieve 1000 degrees.

PC gamers rarely play those games anymore so it's totally meaningless. Actually I can't recall a PC shooter that requires mad skills now a days.
There's a huge difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. The game runs smoother and scenes where the performance drops are less noticeable. At least thats how it is on the PC. I would imagine the same would apply to CoD on the console.

I think the arrival of new consoles will be dictated by what Nintendo does with their Wii U more than what goes on in the PC front. If Nintendo releases vids of BF 3 in full 1080p, PC style textures and 64 players then it's all over for this gen.
