You probably mean that softwares compatibility with MAC sucks?
You dont run MAC native programs on windows nor do you (normaly) run Windows native programs on MAC. (Except maybe trough wine, but even then compatibility isnt 100%)
Its developers decision on what platform they will develop software.
Before talking about typical arguments, please do collect some better arguments yourself.
1. Just because you don't have problems with windows doesn't mean that the problems wouldn't exists.
2. "Theres absolutely no possibility that one could try windows 7 at not like it, because I say so."
3. Using relative, friend or guy next to me as example doesn't prove anything. Even if its your mother its all meaningless.

Depends a lot on what you want to do with your PC, Windows and Linux systems are usualy way cheaper and provide ppl with a lot of good programs for normal pc use.
For example, if you use your computer for Office needs, web surfing, Messenger/Irc/Skype why would you waste money for mac if PC can do that with just a quarter of the price and just as well?
"macs can run windows without tooo much hassle.. but pc's require a lot of hassle to run mac.. so! we know who wins!
but macs are too expensive for me to consider for now lol"
Windows is an operating system, Mac is a closed-computer. The best part of windows is that it can be ran in most computers without any trouble because of the hardware support. If PC cant run os X you cant blame the PC for it.
Think about it in a "console sense...
There are other things to note than just mainstream.
I dont know about Mac but if its anything like Linux, the way the system is built is way more secure than the the one windows uses. In windows, every program you have installed can do pretty much anything to your computer, while in Linux they seem to work seperatly from the main Os. Meaning that if a program would have a virus in it, it would only mess up the program it self. It could not do anything beyond that because it d...
old news
But we are talking about streaming games here, its very hard for a videostream to even closely compete to compete with todays game resolutions, fps and video packaging (streaming 1080p with 30fps, alone makes it impossible to older computers to use onlive without serious quality loss).
I tried few times to play Psone games trough Psp using Ps3:s remote control (quite similar to this OnLive in some ways.) and I was using my schools Wlan (universities tend to have quite nice con...
the service has potential, but with current day connections its pretty useless.
The new consoles are offering HD quality games with as low lag as bossible. I cant even load a youtube HD video without waiting for it to load.
maybe after 5-10 years world will be ready for this kind of service.
Hard to find any use for Ps3 Virus protection program. The System is closed like X360 and wii. Not to mention the browser cant really harm the system other than by crashing. Unlike Psp, Ps3 hasnt been hacked to that degree that you could run your software on it, except for the "blu-ray feature trick" which allowed use of emulator (dunno if it still works).
Hard to think any way to Ps3 to catch a Virus as only official games can use its resources. With Linux you could...
wasnt Angel love online relased for Ps3 like last year or something? Thats mmorpg too bad only available for japanese and no translations what so ever :|
man there are a lot of trolls in this thread.
If your saying linux or windows is a waste of ppls time then atleast have something to pack it up, instead of childishly talking about things that you dont know nothing about.
"Why would you choose an 8 year old computer over a new one with Vista? I hate Linux but if I had an 8 year old pc and a new one with Linux I would take the new one."
I have 2 computers, a 2 years old one with vista, and 8 years old one with Ubuntu. My older computer boots 5mins faster, runs aplications faster, and has nicer looking desktop enviroment. Ofcourse I could upgrade them ram of my newer computer so It could run vista better, but then again why should I do t...
Firstly because it offers nice desktop enviroment for my common needs. Pc gaming is pretty dead in my eyes and only ones I play are like CIV, AOE and maybe few good golden oldies but thats about it.
Linux fits my needs nicely, it provides me with faster, more beatifull, hell of a lot more customizeable desktop than Windows ever could. No viruses, easy to use and update, loads of free software and when ever theres a new version out I dont need to pay a penny for it!
Dunno about the commercials but its hard to see Ensemble trying to fool any1. They have always made great RTS games so those who got their money wasted really should check on what they where buying.
All the driver problems are not really the operating systems fault, operating system handles installing those drivers and using those drivers, but if they are not available its not because of ubuntu its because of the developer of driver hasnt yet made drivers for it on linux.
I could only see how well would drivers work on Windows if it didnt have the support of nvidia and ati :)
Do Take note that plenty of ppl in nordic countries are importing most of their games from UK. Why? Because the prices are like half of ours.
I for example havent bought console game for a while from my country.
Uks £ rate is just so low that we do really nice savings by buying games from stores like Play.com, Blahdvd, Game.co.uk, Gamestation.co.uk
Schoolshooter simulation
Really not gonna buy this propaganda grap. But Ill rethink if I can play as a suicide bomber and get points by killing american soldiers.
I wouldnt count on it, here in Finland a snowy schene in middle of a night in some small countryside town with loads of threes is a breathtaking scene.
""Is the Playstation 3 doomed?"
Stopped reading there"
You got that far? I barely managed to read the title
I am also using Ubuntu, I also have Vista PC, but I rarely use it (sometimes when I want to go and play some computer games like Civ4, AOE etc etc)

Ppl who have used Linux on their Ps3 should not jugde Linux trough those experiences. Ps3 can use Linux, but the hardware support isnt really the best as Sony hasnt relased any sort of drivers for it. It will probably need hellish tweaking and learning to get it run even half decently. On PC its a lot more userfriendly.
