So basicly the only real difference is just the graphics that come with ability to update the hardware of the pc to get even better graphics and reduce loading times. Everything else is pretty much unrelated to gaming.
Ofcourse I can use PC to store it full of media like music, and I can use it to do all the daily work. But I can do these pretty well with 8 year old PC running on Linux :| capacity isnt really an issue as external HDD:ssä offer quite an improment for pretty...
The game was pretty much annouched on Ps3 with the trailer on Ps3 versions bioshock. Ill say that it wont really improve the image of the company in eyes of Ps3 gamers.
Also theres already plenty of Ps3 owners out there, plenty too much to just ignore with popular IP like bioshock.
so I doubt it will happen, but we dont know untill we see the box on the shelves.
Imo reviewers should also take on consideration the other rivaling games for psp when thinking scores to games like these. Theres not many good ones for this genre. Maybe Syphon filther series but even that differs quite much from R:retribution.
The demo was good, and from the looks of critics its a stable 8/10 relase or so.
(Edge can go to hell all that I care, their "oppinnions" differ way too much with mine so I stopped caring after the R2 review.)
Only real thing that might make X360 version worser is the fact that this game has long been developed to Ps3. But then again from Ps3 to X360 development has usually had some pretty good results on both platforms so I wouldn't wait for big difference.
Of course theres always this control issue as Dual Shock 3 is superior in fighting games, but you can always buy and arcade stick and play the game just as good or even better
"Will it live up to the hype"
Probably as there where really none to begin with. This is just yet another Psp title for many players. Eather ways, hoping for good score. Probably gonna pick it up and infect my copy trough R2 :P
The console versions have probably been quite quiet for the past few months, but the Pc versions of UT games seem to have nice and solid fanbase of modders and hc players.
Hopefully atleast Ps3 versions will get more attention now that some of the mods are a lot easier to download and install. Epic should have updated the game with some sort of Ranking or level system that would have kept the achievers more interested. Ofcourse the trophies can keep ppl interested for quite a w...

Its not game ruining factor in call of duty, but it does make it way easier to kill ppl in cod. Auto-aim in cod appears usualy when your aiming near the player and press zoom, then the chrosshairs often jumps right to the center of the player making the players need only minimal adjust to make the well placed headshot.
All patches are approved before they get released, if theres a bug with the patch, it doesn't affect all systems. Atleast the patch worked well with my 60gb pal lauch Ps3. And same with my friends 40gb pal Ps3.
played the game multiple hours yesterday without any problem.
The patch has been released and works like a charm. But the actual DLC got delayed. Dunno for what reason, maybe a slight error in code or something that made it not to pass the tests.
Titan pack is DLC and patch is just a patch to make the game ready for titan pack and add new features.
"ok this story is retarded, i remember reading a story about how epic decided not to do the titan pack since most of the content in the content pack was already on the 360 version, all the new maps, and splitscreen. Is this story seriously just making bs up."
Actually patch 1.10 already brought most of the x360:s extra features so Titan pack has the X360 versions extra maps with unique maps. Titan pack however brings a lot more maps with new game modes.

Theres nothing wrong with the controls. In Killzone2 they might have added some slight movement delay to aiming to screw up the run and gunners. You cant really just run around hoping that theres no enemy behind the next corner.
Cant remember how many kills I have gotten from simply rushing players. sometimes the players just run in a freaking line formation just to be shot one after another :|

Weapons are pretty balanced if you dont count the Rocket launcher which is basicaly "shoot in direction of enemy for multikill and grab the nearest weapon and continue" kind of weapon and very annoying.
good thing its not as massively abused as in beta phew..
as for the ranks, yeah there should be some new ones, maybe a brestige type of thing where you could do it over and over again while not loosing or gaining really anything except shinier badge to s...
Playfire is one of my faivorite sites as well, easy all in one gaming profile that you can share with a single link. Includes all trophies, games, systems, screenshots videos, wall, friendlists, small reviews etc etc
This update is really nice too, I was a bit annyoed by having to update everything manualy.
I dont really like downloading huge files trough the internet, atleast not before the standard connection speed is atleast 10mbps or so :|
Hate it when whole network slows down for hours to just download the one single
Not to mention, to give up the feelign of opening up a long waited special edition of a game that you have waited for even longer. Theres not many experiences better than that.
Controls are fine, they are well suited for the game. Although the sensitivity might need a bit tweaking for everybody.
for me +1x +1y feels pretty good(for me), some prefer +1 x ja +3 y tough.
I second that
There are plenty of ppl who prefer other games over Cod. For me, the game was decent first person shooter. The single player wasnt great, it had it moments but mostly it was just same as "killzone" nothing new. Bullets have penetrated material way before.
Multipayer was fun for a while but after getting to level 51 or so and unlocking all weapons that you generaly need to take out ppl well, I lost my interest on the game. But it was enjoyable to that moment so gotta ...
Or you could just try Ubuntu which is pretty good and newbie friendly Linux operating system. But word of warning for those who prefer wlan/wifi for their network there can be a bit of tweaking to get it work, but if you managed to install it(the wireless connection) might not be as hard.
There are many flavors of linux, some are for the real hardcore pc users who want to tweak every tweeny bit of their computer, some are hell of a lot better for older computers than any windo...
I like the multiplayer, but there are few very big issues.
Spawn greandes thrown near and objective remove all the tactics from the gameplay, and make ppl abuse 3s safetime. Imo there should be no safetime so if you want to spawn next to enemy guarded objective you could collect your head from the floor less than a second after the spawn.
Second one is the noobs with their bazookas. Assault class really needs some tweaking :|
third is the auto-aim....
