For most ppl its not the graphics that pull ppl off from buying a wii or playing it. Its the games.
All the power Ps3 and X360 can be used for completely different things that just graphics. This includes things that can have relatively big effect to fun factor. Things like AI, more enemies on screen, destructible environment, big world of sandbox games, massive multi-player games (M.A.G, Resistance2, MMORPG:s) etc etc
There are few good HC games on wii, but few are ...
Hmm I too was thinking importing the asian version. But importing from US/Canada is a lot cheaper. cant wait!
Pretty similar situation when compared to conquer online. A single patch about 2 years a go made hundreds of ppl quit, including me.
This quite often in mmorpg games.
(if some1 is wondering what patch: The lottery patch that made many equipments easier to get, and skyrocketed the db prices making giving bulkers really unfair advantages.)
Somehow I doubt its for MGS5, as it would be too easy to figure that out. Kojima has always been pretty sneaky with game announcements. So the "5" can have some very different meaning in the end.
It could be "S" as in Storm, It could very related to the games name/content like "5 days" or "5 heroes". To analyze this the best would be to focus on the timer (when will it end?) what other relations could there be for 5 or S in Kojimas part. <...
Imo game dificulties nowdays is pretty good. Altough many lack challenge and tend to be really easy even in hard mode.
There are many types of ppl, some ppl can retry a section in game for weeks, and some ppl well go and sell the game if they cant beat the 1st boss after 2 tries. So Imo its good to have the "casual" very easy where its nearly imbossible to die, while still providing the HC audience with nightmarish dificulties.
This is all just bullshit from all the game developers. Ofcourse Killzone2 might not be playable by X360 in its current form, there might be some effects that it cant handle, but same goes in both sides.
Games can be developed for every platform, within limits of that platform. There might be some things that X360/Ps3/Wii cant handle, but it doesnt make it imbossible to do similar game on these consoles.
Wiis wiimote is no exception. Ps3 and X360 could probably ...
"you'd be a 'tard to buy a Blu-ray player without Netflix on demand"
Writer completely forgets that Netflix is American only, or atleast a service with rather limited availablility. Blu-ray discs are available world wide. Ofcourse all these network based Movie download systems will probably be the next big thing.
Maybe withing next ten years, if connection speeds keep getting cheaper and faster and ppl will get used to these.
Hopefully these well start to get western relases as well. Its no trouble to download the japanese version, but after trying angel love online (despite the name and theme it had quite interesting ideas there and there)
There are plenty of mmorpgs that are just dieing to get console ports.
Not to mention that consoles are almost completely uncharted territory in this area. So there are plenty of ppl just waiting to get addicted to these.
Mac is just a computer made ready for normal use, the only real differences are the quality of components used, the looks and the operating system. Saying Mac is better than PC is pretty ridiculous as they are exactly the same.
When building a PC, you are not restricted to use cheap components, you can achieve similar livespan or looks of macs.
Usualy its the OS that matters, and Os X seems to be really well build and stable. While still being commercial product ...
Atleast by looking the graphics, its not much of a jump from already good looking monster hunter games on psp.
Judging from the video material, the game seems almost identical with psp monster hunter freedom2 (disincluding new weapons, maps and monsters and few new features.) if the online multiplayer is done well it will still be very enjoyable experience.
Is that Nintendo is offering A "secret game will make gamers "excited""
while Sony and Microsoft seem to be more focused on offering multiple secret games "that will make gamers "excited""
Sure hope that one game isnt casual game or hardcore game made casual.. Fans wouldnt like that now would they?
I dont see any other mistake in this than yet again building OS to rely on Internet explorer. Mac doesnt need safari to run aplications, nor does any linux.
After installing windows there would be option of somekind when plugged to the internet to install one of the browsers.
I dont really understand all the whine about how IE comes bundled with windows, but the fact that it has to be there in some form to use some of the programs, I mean wtf?
I dont buy console because of its brand but I might not buy a console because of brand. Apple is in pretty neutral position on my point of wiev so if they manage to prove that they are cabeable to compete against Sony and Microsoft in entertament I might consider.
Sorry to say this but Microsoft has done this multiple times in last few years. Its nothing new in console war.
Still why such hate, its not X360 wouldnt get some ghostbusters goodies even tough later than Ps3 owners. Maybe bossibly with some exclusive content/dlc too.
Morrowind has to be the buggies game I have ever played. And Oblivion freezes so frequently that I get paranoid every time enter or leave a house/cave/ruins/etc.
These kind of tricks might work in US but I doubt they will in Japan. The only real chance microsoft has to conquer japan is to make them believe more or less that the console is "japanese" or made for japanese audience.
This can be done with good J-Rpg titles and support of japanese developers. They dont really care much about western develepers disincluding some rare exeptions.
"Does anyone else just roll his eyes and laugh when they read:
"dont know about Mac but if its anything like Linux, the way the system is built is way more secure than the the one windows uses"
This site gives such a comment +4 Agree and 2 disagree? And the idiot saying such things has 8 bubbles?
What a joke.
"
I had heard before that MAC uses similar file system as LINUX. This alone is a fact that the system might ...
You where talking about other ppl giving typical arguments. Then I read your arguments that where all based on experiences and own opinions, I am not saying that your wrong with your opinions, but that they hold really no value as an argument.
Here's how they are "invalid", (I might have used slightly a too powerful word.)

I am not against the fact ...
The platinium, gold, silver and bronze trophies can be better. However the value of these are very mixed among games. Some games you basicly need to buy the game and go trough it to get most of the trophies. In some games like wipeout you really need to train your skills to achieve the hardest ones.
Then there are these "coffee grinder games" which probably appear on X360 achievements too. So lets say you want to get platinum on Resistance2 or Killzone2, but in the end ...
"Hardcore" is actually the less offensive term for gamer that invests a lot of time in to gaming. The more offensive term for similar thing which was invented probably by the "Casuals" or "less Hardcore gamers" is "No-Life".
Since gaming nowadays is widely popular hobby, its good for press and other ppl to address these ppl with less offensive words just to sound less provoking and still be able to address them equally as well.
