From the beginning of the year when PS Vita had "no games" it now has so many great games and developers are planning on releasing many games on Vita this year.
Great work. The Vita looks better and better each passing month. Sony have shown what can happen when you focus on games.
Why? Why so much interest over a port?
A game made for next gen consoles using all that memory would be amazing but a port of the same current gen just with icing on is a good thing?
It's called lazy and greedy.
That's why it is great to hear Sony confirm that their studios new developments will be for PS4 only not PS3/PS4.

I love the PS4. It is way faster at doing everything and they way it can go instantly back to the previous task is great. It is such a step up in terms of quality and speed. It is also very quiet.
But, but the worst thing is Bluray playback. On the PS3 I just pop in the Bluray movie and away it goes. Some films are full screen and some use a small envelope. But all play natively.

I got my PS4 and waited a week till patches to open it. It is amazing! So fast, so sleek, so quiet (sometimes I only hear the HDD reading/writing) and it switches back and forth between tasks quicker than my heart beats.

The real reason is because they are behind in the US and UK so will want to keep most of their stock for their previously strongest markets.
They hope to swamp the US knowing Sony will be supplying all around the world. If enough people buy the XB1 in the US it could work but how successful can a one market console be?
Here in the UK the PS4 is getting a big slice of the pie this time. The demand is higher than for the XB1. Interesting times.
PS4 has 409GB left after install and system patches. Must be the 3 OS's even though they are run in virtual machines you still need the OS files. Windows 8 must take a few gig, even stripped down.
This is fine as long as you can change the hard drive to 1TB+.
There again, 20 next gen digital games is a lot. Guess that's why we have bluray capacity for games.

Just my opinion. PS4 is shipping like crazy right now and the demand is massive. More than the XB1.
The PS4 does not need a system seller because the system IS selling.
But the XB1 does need a system seller. I guess we shall be hearing Halo & Gears mentioned soon just to try and boost the sales.
But the only people interested in Titanfall will most probably have a XB1 already. I can't see the attraction on a wider scale. A price drop ...
Doubt it. PS4 is in way more demand right now and the gap will get wider and wider.
Titanfall is no big deal when you have Infamous Second Son, Driveclub and games like Watch Dogs coming. PS4 has many f2p games like Backlight Retribution, Warframe and then remember Destiny.
Just enjoy your XB1. It should not matter what PS4 does in terms of sales.
First it was wait til E3. Then wait for the cloudz. And now it is wait 2-3 years.
If anything the PS4 will get stronger and stronger because of their studios and amazing exclusives. This coupled with better looking multi-platform games is a real winner.
Expect a Kinnect-less SKU some time next year. Desperate times will require desperate measures!

Just sounds like lack of proper testing. This happens when you rush things out - you don't get time to test.
An update should force a shutdown to always clear the system rather than hibernate. The hibernate should be optional rather than having to adjust power settings to switch it off.
These are new and experimental times with XB1 and PS4. But they will be around for 5-7 years at least so most problems should be eradicated within the first 6-12 months. ...
Daft comment. But also daft to believe Microsoft and the power of the clouds. You all jumped on that story when it was announced PS4 was more powerful.

Sony actually seem to care about gaming at the same time, they really do. They create the best hardware possible, they support studios and even indies and they give as good a deal as possible with PS+.
What an awful place we would all be in if Sony were not in gaming.
@darthv72: The trouble with that logic is that indie developers do not have the same cash to develop for all systems at once. If they complete the PS4/PC versions they need to release asap to generate more income.
They can then spend more time on other platforms that take that bit longer to develop for. That is the whole crux for indie developers - cash to make more and better games.

Just after the XB1 reveal he stated Microsoft and XB1 would wipe the floor with the PS4 this gen and win the so-called console war.
Then a few months after once he saw the tide had turned he stated PS4 would win the console war.
It all depends on which train is at the station at the moment he chooses to open his mouth.
I don't think it will ever compete with the 3DS. It is a different animal all together. I love the Vita and the games available now are amazing - there are so many good ones at last with many more to come.
The strength of the PS4 will ensure developers throw love to the Vita.
Myself, I am not interested in the 3DS but it is Nintendo's saving grace. They should stick to hand helds...
Hand helds are most suited to indie games. Gaming on the go requires smaller games with shorter levels.
This allows great new ideas and games.
How boring it would be to just have 1 or 2 main types of games...
