Well technically the Wii U is just joining the current gen so it's behind about 60 million units.. heeheehee. I kid.

People need to relax, anything can happen. Can the Wii U win against PS4 OR XBOX 8? Yes it's possible. Launching first has huge advantages, and with all the money they made from the Wii I expect nothing less from Nintendo than to try and steal as much market share as possible before PS4 and XBOX 8 come out. They're in a pretty good position so I ...

Interesting article.

It sucks that Sony didn't cut the price but now more than ever they have to look out for themselves financially. Honestly, it's a miracle they even survived the PS3's $600 launch. Any other company would have died within a few years. It's insane to think they were losing $200-$400 per console. It's stupid to think they'll try that again.

If the PS4 is only 3x/4x more powerful than the Wii U, then I'll tak...

Actually it can, and it will do pretty well.

The PS3 pretty much has the hardcore market down, while Nintendo is the one that needs to convince the core to jump in. The previous Wii hurts Ninty here a little bit since they abandoned the core.

Any game from Naughty Dog. Either Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us 2. Any new IP will do.

Any game from Guerrilla Games. Killzone 4 would be good but a new IP is welcome. Preferably a new fps with faster combat and beter controls and story.

Infamous 3.

The Last Guardian.

Any game from Media Molecule.

I'm a core gamer, and I'm ignoring it until there's a price drop.

The launch games also don't look so hot. Mario will sell but it looks like the same old, seems like this is what people want.

Will wait for the next-gen Zelda and hoping that Nintendo tries to create some new fresh IP. They have the talent.

I kinda doubt that. While I hope Ninty does well because they bring good competition to Sony and MS, the next gen PS and Xbox will most likely crush the Wii U in performance and features/online play.

We don't even know how the online of Wii U will stack up agains current gen consoles.

I like Ninty and hope they do really well, but I'm skipping the Wii U launch. Will wait for Wii U Zelda or an awesome new IP from Ninty.

If you can upgrade the hard drive, then it's not a bad deal especially if it's $149, or $179.

Nintendo's really going for profit here with the 8 gig and 32 gig hard drives. Kinda disappointing but I had a feeling they would do this.

Anyways, I hope Ninty does well since I support most Japanese companies. With that said, I will have to pass on this console. Seems like the Wii all over again. Might pick it up when it hits the $149 price point.

1. $399 launch price or less
2. True next-gen gpu and cpu
3. Stick with bluray( more advanced of course)
4. Keep online play free, with PS+ optional
5. Naughty Dog launch game (Either Uncharted 4 or The Last of Us 2, Or whatever ND wants to make.)

Sony haters are out in full force.

Playstation isn't going anywhere kiddies. Sorry for the news.

Sony needs to slash the price to $179/$149.

This would solve all problems.

Honestly, speaking as a Sony supporter I would rather spend $249 on a Google Nexus 7 than a Vita. I'm not saying Sony should abandon the Vita cuz it's still pretty young and has a ton of potential.

A price cut to $149 would do wonders for the Vita. $179 would also work.

I can't help but think that Sony should also release a mini tablet like the Google Nexus 7, but Sony moves way too slow for that to happen. They'll probably release it wh...

If true then Square-Enix is dead to me. I am done with this bullshit company.

FF series has pretty much gone downhill. FF13 was absolute garbage. FF12 was decent but how long ago was that?

I hope this isn't true.

Sales winner: Nintendo

Games winner: Sony (Still releasing core exclusives near the end of the cycle)

Online winner: MS

While I'm open minded, I'm a bit skeptical about this.

They're gonna need more than 5 million to make this a huge success. How much did it cost Sony to launch playstation 1? I'm gonna guess somewhere in the ballpark of 200 million-1 billion.

Also, the fact that you're gonna be able to hack it pretty easily will be a red flag to developers.

Vita is built to last. Sure it's had somewhat of a slow start but isn't that usually how Sony starts off?

The Vita will be competing with the successor to the 3DS since the 3DS isn't much of an upgrade to the DS.

We all know Nintendo isn't going to spend a ton on the hard ware since they know all they have to do is release Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon on it to sell.

The 360 doesn't even have blu-ray, lol. You can bet the next xbox will though. Upgrading the 360 hard drive isn't as painless as upgrading the ps3's.

So first there's a console war, now there's a silly living room war. Riiiiight.

Guess which piece of equipment I can use to surf the net(the best possible way to), download movies, watch movies on my big screen with, has a huge hardrive, and I don't have to pay twice for the priveleg...

When Nintendo says "next-gen" I think they mean PS3 and 360. lol.

Seriously though, if Ninty was so confident why not just release the specs?

In other news, Apple and Samsung think the WiiU gamepad is pretty cute.
