What was wrong with the PoP trilogy remake?

I'm not buying it either. Unless it comes to steam. There are PLENTY of games I am looking forward to, and I am excited about all of them equally as much as battlefield, meaning BF3 can wait unless those greedy f*cks at EA learn their lesson about not trying to take down the most widely loved digital distribution service of all time and trying to replace it with their bullsh*t trashy "we delete the stuff you paid for after 2 years of not playing it, even though you paid full price ...

@evrfighter

So? What's the problem if I enjoy it? At least I'll be having fun. You meanwhile will remain on the internet posting worthless and pathetic comments like the pitiful loser you are.

Besides, I haven't played any of the collections I've bought so far, and I wouldn't have bought the ps2 versions at any point in time, so I've actually discovered new franchises that I otherwise wouldn't have given two sh*ts about, and wh...

"If gamers really would like to experience these games, they’re better off playing them in their original form, the format in which they were intended."

Actually the collections are probably a hell of a lot more closer to what the developers of these remakes intended. I don't think most developers intended their games to run at slow frame rates, look blurry and have jagged edges.

That was just what they had to deal with, but it's not what t...

"@vickers500 this may sound a little selfish but if Bioware focus on coop they will ruin the whole SP experience"

I'm not saying they should build the game around co-op like Resident Evil 5 or anything like that, I'm just saying that they should simply let another player take control of the AI, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be 'that' hard to implement. It's just a REAL PERSON (sooo much better than some dumbass AI npc) taking the reign...

"then you have no power over them making it just a typical third person shooter."

Then don't play co-op. Problem solved. Meanwhile, those of us that would like co-op and don't care about controlling our companions (like me, since I rarely ever did it in Mass Effect 1 and probably wont do when I play Mass Effect 2) can enjoy playing with our friends. Win-win.

Being able to control (or not control) your team mates doesn't make Mass Effe...

Hopefully it's co-op campaign.

Mouse and keyboard is way too uncomfortable. I don't like having 2 separate devices that I have my hands/arms spread apart to use, I like the one device for controls system better.

Having my arms going out in two different directions completely and totally kills the immersion in any pc game I play, since I'm focusing more on the controls rather than the game.

Seriously. For that price, I would expect them to throw in a soundtrack, a poster (or a cloth like substance with the skyrim logo on it, like a flag or perhaps something that looks/feels like an actual scroll), some special DLC, a textured steel book case, and maybe some other random small trinket, like a ring or a necklace or something.

$150 is way too much for a statue, an artbook and a making of dvd (the last 2 being available online for free).

@belal

Why do you assume I do more dying than killing? Some people are good enough to hold their own. And anyways, yeah, that is fun for me. The fun doesn't always come from winning the match for me, in fact it rarely does unless I'm the best one on the team responsible for our team winning.

Besides, it's not like I'm the only one making my team suffer. When I actually try to play as a team and do really well as an individual, my teammates...

The characters and storyline in Fallout 3 were better though, despite FNV having a more complex story.

It did improve everything gameplay wise though, I will agree with that.

It varies in quality. The newer stuff seems to be more crap than good though.

Agreed. A game with average graphics but great art style is MUCH more important than a game with no artistic creativity with super high res textures.

5427d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Not really. Handhelds maybe, but it's not a very big issue for consoles, as the amount of people who hack their consoles to play games for free isn't very big.

General Knoxx DLC was pretty much a brand new game. Lasted me just as long, if not longer, than Borderlands main story (and I did ALL the side missions in Borderlands 1).

Yeah, it is a douche move, but honestly I hope he succeeds in suing them. Activision needs to take a financial hit.

How would adding co-op make the game worse? Note that he didn't say multiplayer should be added, just co-op, which WOULD have made Vanquish better.

Vanquish is far from perfect. Short game, little replayability (the majority of people don't want to replay the campaign, as they have other games to move on to) and a crappy story make it far from perfect, and definitely undeserving of a $65 dollar price tag it originally came out with.

Multiplayer > Split screen

for the sole reason that multiplayer lets much more people enjoy playing together than split screen does.

I can't play split screen with my friend that lives in a different state/country, so your split screen argument for this gen being lame is pretty weak.

Why are people douches for wanting to do whatever they want with the game THEY BOUGHT? Not everyone wants to play YOUR way, that doesn't mean they are douches for it.

If I don't have fun playing as a team, then what's the point of having the game? To make sure YOU have fun? If I simply want to go around killing people, then that's my prerogative. I don't play the game for you, I play the game for me, and that doesn't make me a douche, it makes you ...

Not really. Most games still don't require anywhere near the amount of setup needed for a pc games. A little bit less than half of games require (large) game installs, but even then, it ends there.

With a lot of PC games, you have to download, install, fix one of the very common problems that seem to pop up with quite a lot of pc games, configure the graphics to your machines optimal settings, and THEN you can play. Most console games you simply pop in, download a very...
