I think you're missing the point. What he's probably referring to is that the 360 is maxed out in terms of RAM. But if they just find different techniques to utilize that RAM, more performance can be squeezed out. And it's not just the RAM, but of course the other parts of the hardware like the CPU.

PS2 wasn't easy to develope for. It's not until 4-5 years in it's lifecycle before it did.

Yeah COd4 has no bots in splitscreen. But 4 player split can still be pretty fun. Just had a recent get together with some friends, mix it up with some hennessy and you got 4 drunk adult men screaming at the tv screen playing "knives only" lol
I partially agree with Timesplitter. I don't think that gaming necessarily will die without Split Screen. But some of the most fun moments ever is when you play with friends on the same console. Which is why sports games is a blast to play.
Heck, I had a lot of hilarious Halo 2 days with my buds and can relate to the splitscreen silliness. Good memories indeed.
God I stopped watching after half of the video. Whoever playing is a ridiculous moron. Doesn't reload to prepare to go into battle. Doesn't know what to do after getting the Lark. Doesn't know that there's a F'in ammo box right in front of him. Keeps looking around too much. Keeps shooting the secondary bullseye ammo for absolutely nothing.
Waste of time watching a sh*tty player play a good game. Just poor representation of the game.

Drake is made up of 25,000 polygons. Marcus Fenix is made up of 12,000. Each enemy in Uncharted is also made up of 15,000 polygons.
Technically Uncharted > Gears.

You're right. But you're missing one point. Gamers who buy a game, return it, will likely use that money to buy another game. Thus, it's a continous cycle from that consumer.
If that gamer is forced to keep his game forever, and not be able to trade it in or re-sell it. Then it's more than likely that gamer will not buy another game for awhile.
Which will probably lead to even slower sales of games.

I don't think Home by itself will "sell consoles" unless it's properly used right. It also depends on Sony's advertisements and how they send the message to consumers. Sony right now has the worst marketing team in comparison to MS and even Nintendo.
There are great things already about the PS3 that Sony isn't even telling people. They need to just make a simple commercial and put it out. Just include "Built-in Wifi. Plays Blu-Ray movies. Capable of 1080p graphics....

Insomniac likes to use their own engine from scratch and optimize it for their games. Then instead of selling a shoddy middleware, they help other developers try to learn things about gaming design and hardware.
