Nice. I can apply that logic to games that launched in a terrible state and became great over the years. Guess No Man Sky or Sea of Thieves will always be bad...you can't change what happened, right?

The Bite Back edition is still up for sale so i doubt they aren't working on it. It will probably be dropped at the next xbox showcase for marketing purposes.
But it has to get released. The game bombing can't be an excuse as the Forespoken season pass content got released.
And they will still sell that amount on PC a year or 2 after the Playstation release.
Don't know why people keep saying this is the proof of every PS game is coming to PC day 1 as it's an anomaly as all the other PS games on PC sell significantly less. Live service games day 1 on PC is what's happening from now on and i believe was already confirmed.
But i was surprised that ghost of tsushima was in the top sellers list just below spider man and god of war games. I didn't know it sold more than horizon and last of us in the US. Go sucker pun...
Max payne in their new engine is going to look amazing. Just replace or make good the nightmare section where you walk on the blood trail and it will be perfect.
Especially with the Euro cup coming up in june and it still selling as it was the 2nd best selling game for March in the UK. Big soccer competitions usually get me to play some FIFA(or FC now).
I only played SMTIII and i kinda meh on it due to very confusing puzzles and random encounters.
SMTV is different as it has a open world to navigate. And as Persona player you should know that SMTV has no dating sim or alot of story compared to P5. There are choices that affect the ending but I remember one or 2.

And an 87% on metacritic for 16 doesn't really say mediocre.
100 hour game is crumbs? Remake had a ton of content as well.
And what is episodic? People had to wait years after cliffhanger endings to see what happens to see the next "episode" like with Mass effect, halo 2, god of war 2, etc... did people complain they forgot what happened when the sequels came out?
Saying Square got greedy with Rebirth, it not having microtransactions and a massive amount of content is essentially brain dead.
People love the new FF's overall...the problem is the abundance of 7's they release that lose money or make very little like diofield, star ocean divine force, Valkyrie asylum, harvestella, foam stars, etc. Advertising wouldn't have saved those games. Apparently Forespoken had a big Advertising budget but we saw how that went.

I guess we hope it isn't Epic then. Remedy want a better publishing deal...but that's going to be hard when your last game hasn't broken even yet.
Epic funded and published the game so it makes sense it's Epic exclusive. And probably why it's digital only.
But Remedy learned their lesson and are going back to 505 games to publish their next games. Steam and physical pretty much guaranteed.
And not locked to premium editions.
You are correct. Especially if you look at open critic. Just wanted to point out that Lies of P is not higher rated critically overall for the first paragraph and did some slight exaggeration not accounting for PC and Xbox reviews.
They shat out modern warfare 3 with a 16 month development time that has them at a nice 56%(ps5) on metacritic and it was still the 2nd best selling game of 2023. Currently the 2nd best selling game of 2024. And modern warfare 2 was the 7th best selling game of last year.
Seems like everyone wants to buy it no matter what.
