All xbox has is bought 3rd party games. Mostly Bethesda games last year. Obsidian, Ninja theory and Bethesda this year.
But keep comparing making one game from a studio exclusive (Shift ups next game is multiplatform) to buying whole publishers where all their games are exclusive...

RE3 was a lower scored game and hated for short length but the next RE game still sold more.

XVI released the same month as Diablo 4 and Street Fighter 6. And with games like Jedi Survivor, Zelda and Hogwarts still selling as well.

They sold 14 million by 2020 so I'm guessing that was enough to make another. It outsold the series X if the series X really is 25% of the total series sales...
They are doing something else. New IP is next. I assume it's what Cory Balrog is directing as someone else directed Ragnarok.
It is a move they did in the ps4 generation with the PS4pro. It worked out for them then so why not do it again? And the PS4 pro came out 3 years after the PS4 so it is taking an extra year for the PS5 pro.
The only discussion should be about what it ends up costing and not whether it should exist. We have series s, Switch minis, Switch OLED so who cares about a new PS5pro?

Rebirth is 4th and the double pack is 16th for the year in the us. They are counting them but separately.
87 metacritic can't be a terrible mess.
If Kingdom Hearts is a JRPG then FFXVI is a JRPG. And he said he hates the term JRPG as it carries a bad stereotype with western journalists.

He worked on tactics ogre reborn. Was there changes? He wouldn't make an FF tactics game an action game. It will be AA but faithful. Probably what the Diofield Chronicles team and some of the FFXVI team is probably working on already and he is just keeping a secret.
And FF hasn't had a set gameplay design since X. I disliked the MMO, 12, 13 FF's but didn't mald for years. I played other games. Stop crying as he probably won't make a single player FF agai...
Why talk about Vanguard? It was still the best selling game of that year. And at a 70+ metacritic.
Modern Warfare 3 last year was the 2nd best selling game of the year(been awhile since it wasn't 1st) and at a 50+ metacritic.

There is only hypothetical dlc coming in the future for this game. You're asking people to complain about something that doesn't exist now or at launch.

Hoping FFXVI sold less is kinda pathetic. They already disbanded the FFXVI team to other projects and Square are working on the Rebirth follow up. Just celebrate Rebirth.
XVI has a 2023 total of 429k. Keep seething till Rebirth gets there.
