@rippermcrip The above comment is not a prediction on quality of the final game, it is a statement that Microsoft will be viewing Hellblade II as a game that can fill a gap in its lineup for a narrative-led action adventure.
You have expressed that for you it will not compare favourably to God of War and its okay to share your feelings. But there are many people who only game on Xbox and the prospect of taking Senua the lead from the first game and then being able to play h...
From the last big trailer it definitely seems that Ninja Theory was announcing its big ambitions - this could be Xbox's own God of War.
A reviewer doesn't have to 100% a game (all side quests, collectables etc) but he/she should complete the main game to properly report on what the gameplay experience offers, and how fulfilling the many elements are from the player's perspective when they've reached the ending.
For strictly research purposes I watched the video, twice. It’s the start of FF7R in Midgard with Cloud walking around with Tifa who is talking as normal in the bar but is stark bollock naked! PC master race crack me up! 🤣 they must sit in front of their sticky keyboards wondering who next to see naked!
Any news on whether mods can come to Xbox & PlayStation? I’m asking for a friend.
I reckon 2024/2025.🤞🏼
What's interesting is how Rockstar says "With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we've previously delivered." I'm really interested to see what this means in terms of immersion or a persistent world. On one hand you could say GTA V was 'just' an iteration of GTA IV (although of course the online grew to become the game.) But nobody does open world better than Rockstar, t...
It's like the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto said: "It's better to rush-release a game full of bugs on its announced date rather than delay it. Then you can patch it later and it will eventually become good."
This consolidation stage of the industry has got a lot more miles to go so Microsoft and PlayStation's exclusives policy may differ with other buyouts. But from the information we currently have which company's approach do YOU think is more consumer focused?
ALPHA) More value from a single monthly subscription service by adding to it exclusive games that will not be available on other platforms?
OMEGA) Or allowing players to continue to play their...
@Hayterueyeujs I speculate that this was a preemptive move so that Sony can build a triple-A exclusive FPS to fill the gap when Call of Duty is removed.
Wow - I thought this was a joke.
Credit to Sony and Bungie for being upfront EXPLICIT about whether or not Destiny is remaining multiplatform. There’s no word games, no ambiguity, no vague statements just upfront direct talk which I respect.
This will be a game that will live the whole generation.
The ‘big’ news is that Microsoft must make it clearer to new subscribers that the membership auto renews. Nowhere in the story does it mention that this is in the UK.
z2g said “ Sony nickels and dimes you to death to offer things that MS gives you for free”.
Yes, I would’ve liked the update for free too. But criticising Sony for not doing the same thing as Microsoft shows a lack of understanding about the industry. Microsoft is big tech, it has the second highest market cap in the world hovering around the $2 Trillion mark, that’s $2,000,000,000,000! It makes more in daily interest than many multinational companies make in profit over ...
@Kados Cheers for explaining.
I think this is an okay-ish month. As a long time fan of Theme Hospital I kinda would have liked to play Two Point Hospital but I might give 2016 game Planet Coaster a try as it's in the same vein. I might have a go on Tiny Tina... I love fantasy, and I know this is a Borderlands spin-off but am not sure if hearing a sarcastic American narrator is the right blend for me but it's worth a shot.
Talking about fixing the toxic work culture is very skilful PR because it depicts a Microsoft as ‘the good guys’ which is the narrative the media is focusing on, instead of the examining the anti-trust issues.
Wizarding World is the new name for Pottermore the official Harry Potter website. Don't ask me how I (a tough guy grown-up who has watched all the Karate Kid films) knows this.
However, this IS not confirmation from the studio. It's just repeating the last announcement from WB Games that Hogwart's Legacy is due in 2022.
Do you know if there are plans to release any more significant patches such as native 4k version?
"He added of the recent Halo and Forza releases: “Those are the most played games in those franchises because we made them available on more screens than we ever have, through more business models than we’ve ever made them available.”
Sorry, but Phil's words here ring hollow. There's nothing wrong with announcing that you have exclusives as they help define a platform and Phil Spencer and Aaron Greenberg have made sure to let everyone know that Starfield is Xbo...
