@Futureshark There’s not much likelihood of a portable console running PS6 Blu-rays, the disc reader would make the size unwieldy.
The ‘will continue to evolve’ headline is misleading as it is presented a definitive statement by Sony that it is working on a new iteration of a handheld.
What is actually said by Hideaki Nishino ‘‘“Recently, we just announced a beta program, allowing Cloud streaming directly to the handheld,” Nishino added. “We’re always exploring various options for how players can play games.”’ This is just underlining the new streaming feature, and can be interpreted as a hint of great...
Pater Molyneux and his team at Bullfrog really were on to something special when they came up with Theme Park and Theme Hospital. Now Two Point Games are running with it, building on his original template. I wonder if Molyneux now wishes he had continued developing this series.
They should meet up with the cast from Dragon Age: Veilguard, then they can share their experiences of participating in a fantasy role playing game.
And if they become firm friends maybe they could do a crossover, with the key Dragon Age characters appearing in Baldur’s Gate 3, who wouldn’t love that.
Bro, Hellblade II is getting a release on PS5 Blu-ray.
@xHeavYx I respect your right to disagree with me but why not try and maintain some civil discourse? When you jump straight to throwing names to claim that I am psychologically deficient it's an amateur technique used to present oneself as automatically right and different opinion as wrong. This comes from a lack of inner-confidence which compels within you a need to feel that you are always right - when the wisest minds comprehend they can be wrong.
I don't believe in getting games retroactively changed liked this - whatever the crime of the person in it was.
Pulp Fiction's a classic. In 2008 one of the main stars, Samuel L. Jackson was arrested for disorderly conduct - this shouldn't mean that CGI should be used to replace his face and voice.
OJ Simpson was a famous American Football player and actor who starred in the classic films The Towering Inferno and Capricorn One. He was charged ...
@__y2jb it’s funny you say that, today i asked myself ‘what if Obscure_Observer is really Christopher?’ I mean it’s not, but…! 😁
@Obscure_Observer. You have just underlined my point perfectly; last year you were arguing that Xbox is better because of the performance of the Xbox Series X, the exclusive Microsoft Studios games, and the strength of the console platform (all valid strengths to care about) now Microsoft has changed course you are boasting about Monthly Active Users on other platforms.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there’s something that doesn’t add up about the arguments you...
@3rivers New alt-account created 28 minutes ago by Obscure_Observer.
The point I'm illustrating is that Sony did not have to invest to continue profiting from this game, but Microsoft did. Sure, in the long-term it will profit from the ABK purchase - but this may take twenty years. The downside is that it tanked its own hardware platform, the Xbox.
As for you Obscure_Observer, stop making alt accounts, just make your point. There's nothing wrong ...
PlayStation made 30% of the Call of Duty sales on its console, but it didn't spend 30% of $70 Billion to buy ABK.
@VENOM OF SINS My brother. The controller for an Xbox has an X on it. The controller for PlayStation has a Cross on it! (For real)
@ truthBombs “Of course If they stopped making hardware it contradicts their vision of play on any device.”
The Xboxstick Streaming console will be compatible with any TV device.
More likely, this will be revealed as a surprise at The Game Awards.
TWO copies?!!! The buyers are probably linking up for multiplayer!
The only question that remains, besides who are they, is what are they playing on? I don’t think Vatican PCs used for Church accounting can handle 4k 60fps so likely they’re playing on PS5s. Steam Deck maybe. But definitely not Xbox - it’s too ungodly for them.
What happened to Sarah Bond's exciting Xbox hardware announcement?
Will it be at the Game Awards a teas of the next-Xbox, that will be used to steal the thunder of the PS5 Pro, but won't be released until 2027?
Halo: Combat Evolved - low-key hinted at by Phil Spencer!
I've listened to this man talk for 15 years, he is PR trained and does a lot of word play to conceal information without lying (I notice this stuff). In the Bloomberg interview he said “I do not see sort of red lines in our portfolio that say ‘thou must not,’ ” he said, adding that it was too early to make a decision on the next version of Halo".
He is talking about no decision made about ...
As long as every console owner gets a good version, lovely, however that’s not the point of a graphics review…This reviewer doesn’t have the technical chops, or equipment, to determine the precise differences between the versions. To measure via the naked eye and claim some versions are ‘identical’ is not based on data, but feelings, it is effectively deceit. I could’ve written a more detailed comparison and I’ve never played the game. I’ll wait for a real review.
Schadenfreude.
Or, after years of looking down and besmirching the gaming community that pays your wages the chickens have come home to roost.
I've been playing games a long time; there is no final spec, there is always better - it's what drives humanity forward.
