Pull yourself together! I don't know if you are telling the truth or saying that in an attempt at dramatic effect or proving that you are more of a gamer. I consider myself a gamer and a bit of a Final Fantasy VII fan also a man and I do not cry when watching a video feed with a favoured game producer. If that's what brings you to tears than you must have lived a truly charmed life. Good day to you sir!...
For Microsoft to be sending out copies early clearly demonstrates they have great faith in the quality of the game - it definitely makes a change from games that have release day embargoes.
If Alan Wake was your favourite game, and you have yet to buy an XBO, then I see that Quantum Break will be a big draw!
As armchair commentators we can all speculate about the positives and negatives regarding the Fable Legends cancellation. However when a producer from the development studio (and lead of Fable 3) calls Microsoft "the destroyer of first party studios" then it is an opinion that has a story to tell.
Sony's PlayStation VR event is being held on the 15th March. That has to be when launch date, price and compatible games are revealed. NMS VR would be the killer app we've been waiting for.
The recent release of Minecraft in China on Xbox One and on the Wii U has been a big sales hit for Microsoft. Is it really so unrealistic that Microsoft might look to bring their other big franchises to other consoles?
See you all on the 21st of June! :)
I don't think Phil Spencer's comments necessarily mean an upgradable Xbox whereby the user can replace multiple parts. Rather it could mean a higher-spec Xbox, for example, an Xbox One that is not upgradable, but has faster memory and a better GPU than the original Xbox One.
More options for Xbox One owners is always a good thing.
In a way I get the sense that like Valve have their Steam Machine, Xbox One will be Microsoft's WindowsBoxMachine. It will offer an all-in-one easy to use Windows Xbox experience at an affordable budget. And if you have a powerful PC then you can have the same games via cross-buy but at a higher spec.
I'm interested to know what was revealed at the Windows event yesterday, but the fact that ther...
@Channel Live "Why are people disagreeing with you because you want two great developers to work on a project together? This site has become so childish and immature."
It's not because of fanboy fighting, it's simply that the majority of people here know that that isn't realistic at all. There is no need for two big companies with money behind them to join forces, also Naughty Dog is owned by Sony and Remedy is an independent company that has partnered ...
I'm sorry to hear this. Pre-YouTube/before it became so big I used to watch a lot of videos on GameTrailers.
Bonus Round panel show covered video game news. It was topical, and approach video gaming in a grown-up manner. Not by being all stern but just by having an understanding of the business and fun side. This was because of presenter Geoff Keighley who was so natural on the show. No over the top shouting and trying hard to be seen to be fun! Just intelligent convers...
I'm sure developers and publishers alike have a strong opinion on the pressures/benefits of crunch time. However this substance-light opinion piece seems to have been thrown together to take advantage of the current demonisation of Peter Molyneux. Yes he over-promises (I backed Godus on Kickstarter!) but he is a man with some serious experience in the industry.
The criticism of Molyneux is further undermined because its author Ben Kuchera, publicly declared he got sick of...
@Tsunade Let me ask you a question specifically as a person who appreciates the DualShock 4: If you were given an Xbox One (or if you already have one) and you were given the option to be able to play it with the DualShock 4 would you take it?
@PSN_ZeroOnyx I still play PS3 games. The only downside with the Sony DS4 method is you cannot play wirelessly and there is no force-feedback, on the otherhand it is free!
Everyone has different tastes! For games that require long play sessions and don't use the unique DualShock 4 functions, such as Fallout 4, I find the 360 pad to me most comfortable [for me].
In the video I show specifically show how to set up how to use the 360 pad on PS4, but remember the CronusMax device is great for other configurations.
You can use a DualShock 4, wirelessly and with force-feedback on PS3 - not even Sony allow this! Or a DualShock 4 o...
I'm glad the gem microtransactions (that would have cost up to £50) has been removed. I backed the original Kickstarter and nowhere did it mention a mobile game. So backers felt there had been a bait and switch. Peter Molyneux has admitted he made design choices differently based on the mobile market - but these damaged the full game.
I believe Molyneux is trying to make this right however I suspect there has been irreparable damage done to the brand. The best thing...
One of the strengths of current-gen consoles is that they don't have a piracy market. With a game like The Witness which has received some amazing scores there is going to be a desire from gamers to check it out. If it is only available on console then people will buy the console version meaning more revenue for the publisher.
I think perhaps a staggered release might have benefited this. It might be annoying for PC only owners to wait, say a month, but it could potentia...
I think they will see more positive results because of the release of Street Fighter V. Now imagine if they bought Monster Hunter to other formats!
"“There were definitely factions within the team that did worry more about the competition and we spent a stupid amount of time on stuff like HD-DVD in response to the competition that just distracted us from our core beliefs. A new format for high-resolution movies was not important to us. Leading the charge in online gaming was – and the HD-DVD effort was a good example of how worrying about the competition can take you off your game.”
J. Allard is the guy who first re...
I hope Sony measure total accrued years.
I must be nearing 5 years. But as my subscriptions have expired I've always had a couple of days before renewing so I'd be sad if this kept resetting my PS Plus usage time. If it is accrued then that's a good thing and to be honest I'd happy with the poster with personalised stats. Although a £5/$5/€5 credit would be better!
Personally, I think Norse mythology is too similar to Greek but lacks the amazing range of characters and monsters that everyone is familiar with. I think Egyptian would have been more exotic and if you look at movie The Mummy their could be some amazing enemies such as the Anubis army.
God of War 4 can have a brand new setting and brand new mythos and even a brand new God of War - as long as it's Kratos! I don't mean it has to be connected to past continuity but the ...
