EA not releasing Titanfall 1 on PS4 made a big mistake. It stopped the PlayStation community jumping on board with the franchise so their was no emotional connection to it. It also devalued the franchise before it had a chance to establish itself.
PSVR is the first virtual reality headset to support Xbox One (albeit in Cinematic mode). What next, dogs and cats living together?
I'd love to see the difference between the PS4 version and the PS4 Pro 1080p version.
I suspect that most early adopters will be like me, playing on a 1080p screen.
Assassin's Creed DOES need a reboot - and I consider myself a big fan.
No one developer should be above criticism but we should judge them by their record. Peter Molyneux, auteur that he is, earned himself a reputation for over-promising and under-delivering. Fable III failed to meet the promises made about it and Godus has yet to be completed! Metal Gear Solid the Phantom Pain received a high meta-critic and many gamers are happy with it. Death Stranding has a lot of hype because it is as Kojima game, but Kojima generates hype because the public are happy with ...
It's sad for Sony that's he leaving as Adam Boyes has been so enthusiastic in his PlayStation role, but i'm happy he's doing this to follow his dream. What Boyes' and former Sony indie procurer Shahid Kamal Ahmad departures show is that they really are in the business because they love gaming. Sony have made some great hiring decisions and this means great people who are able to secure quality exclusives for the PlayStation platform. Good luck to Boyes and I look forward t...
Aaron Greenberg says that PC players will be able to use Xbox Live for free and play online against other Windows 10 and Xbox One owners. But it raises the question, if you have a gaming PC why buy an Xbox One when it costs you more for the same privileges?
For me this is a good month! I've been looking forward to Furi and have wanted to buy Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines for Vita which I intend to play on my PSTV. The Saints Row game won't hurt either. Sony, that's a positive step in the right direction.
Gamestop UK (an online only retailer) were offering the Xbox One S 500GB for pre-order but it is no longer available.
Judging by the tech-specs it sounds like the Scorpio will be a beast! But it's not possible for 4K 60fps power to come at a mass market price, even in Autumn 2017. So I'm thinking that the Xbox Scorpio will effectively be a gaming PC with an Xbox UI. IF it isn't available for less than $500 then I can't help but think this is Microsoft's way of making a soft-exit out of the hardware game without losing face.
Considering he has just revealed two new Xbox consoles, Phil Spencer is spending an awful lot of time talking about PlayStation. He needs to stop with the PR spin about how the PS4 has fewer exclusives, or how the Neo is weak in comparison to the Scorpio. Phil Spencer should just focus on trying to make sure his team get their ship back on course.
Good spot!
With hindsight, the Uncharted 4 plot does have a plot hole. The whole brothers' story builds towards a big twist that never comes. Sam is released but he doesn't make himself known to Drake for months - when Drake finds out the surprise seems a bit underwhelming.
Everybody likes a happy ending but it seems the original idea was of Sam bitter for being abandoned wanting revenge and the Drake's clashing with only one coming out alive. But wi...
@Stealth20k. Sony never promised that The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, Final Fantasy VII Remake or Horizon: Zero Dawn would be out in 365 day's time, so those are not broken promises.
The Last Guardian & Horizon: Zero Dawn trailers had 2016 at the end which means Sony have until the 31st December to release the games else they will have broken their promise - but as yet, not broken!
Stone the crows :O
This is a big vote of confidence in PlayStation VR. Star Wars Battlefront VR uses EA's Frostbite engine so it should be a full game experience and will demonstrate what can be technically achieved. Added to this is the release of PS4 Neo and Sony are in a great position to establish the PlayStation as the home console standard of the generation.
I definitely wouldn't put Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on this list. To get the platinum you have to complete the game on the hardest difficulty, Crushing, which I can tell you there are a couple of places where the combat is so intense you barely a second to breathe before you're killed. For the committed it is doable, it just that it's hard and takes time.
Hi Sketchy. Thanks for the feedback. I will look into doing a summary.
@Aither - Hi Aither! Just like the big websites like IGN and Gamespot review games I've also produced a review. Uncharted 4 is best enjoyed without knowing anything about it. However so people can make an informed decision before watching I've listed the information that the review does share. If that's too much I absolutely understand!
@Mr-Dude Cheers man! :)
This article is a generation late. The PS3/360 generation saw the major third party exclusives go all format so to remark on it now makes it seem like they are new to the industry. However it must be noted that because of Sony's significant sales lead and partnerships with Japanese developers they do have a considerable amount of 3rd party titles still to come.
