they only dangled this over our head till last minute...why make it high quality.../s.
did i mention this kids voice makes me wanna hurt myself?
I mean this in no way to downplay the hard work and tremendous effort that these devs put in, but publishers really need to start being a little more careful with setting release dates. I know it often is unavoidable to delay these games, and I will take a late product that's complete rather than an early one that's not...but seriously, name a AAA titles that hasn't been delayed ( I know there are a few, but c'mon).
I mean at least give us a "window"...
@nicksetzer, well said. I have always enjoyed powering up a MS console. They really do come correct with features and updates, especially this time around. Funny how some people refuse to give credit where credit is due. This is why XB1 is generally my main console. Im just very happy to see MS improve this thing.
P.S. Do not take positive news about one console as an attack on the other. PS4 deff has it's own advantages, but I would be lying if I said I do not enjoy the...
Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty bored with both new consoles right now. They just sit there. TLoU remastered should get me going for a while though, and there's some nice games on the way this fall.
See this actually sort of angers me. What are the chances there were male assassins in that time period? Sure the premise is completely false, but the era in which it is grounded and the "reality" they portray, doesn't leave much room for female characters , at least not in the role of a playable character.
TLoU takes place in a time where it makes more sense to follow a female, and they nailed it. No reason there cannot or should not be more female characters,...
Anyone else just jam a fork in there eye and twist?
Eh. I mean average console lifespan has always been about 5 years, but things have changed in recent times. It is very expensive, and these companies will likely want to try and make back as much cash before they roll out new, expensive tech. Look how long the last generation lasted. X360/PS3 were less powerful than your average gaming PC as early as ~2009 (I say average because you can't really say PC is more powerful until most PC gamers can reasonably afford such tech). Yet, Devs were ...
@septic. I agree that they didn't quite seem to consult in anyone but themselves. That can't be entirely true though. I am sure activision, ea etc. all had enormous hard-ons when they found out one of their biggest partners was about to do away with the second hand market. I do not hold a grudge, business is business, but at the end of the day, you would think MS would have been smarter than this. Perhaps if their reveal/e3 messaging made even a little sense, people might have underst...
What a little d-bag troll. Of coruse drive club looks better. Forza Horizon 2 is open world. We all know PS4 has more power too, so they can get a little more out of it. But why hate on FH2? They obviously have been putting together a very pretty game with some great next-gen effects. To say Driveclub looks better is only fair, but to try and use that to take away from how awesome FH2 looks is just immature fanboyism.
I don't hate articles like this one so much as I hate ...
They suck
.
What? Why no competition. Do you honestly believe that Sony never looked at MS and said...hmmm, that's good, how do we top it. That is how things become better. Any sure they lead, but the competition from Nintendo and MS still exists in a serious way, even if it is not as fierce as one would have expected. My head is in my palms, friend.
well said. Sometimes it is hard hearing all the negativity, but that is what MS needed. Many people were right, and things did need to change.
I just wish people would have a little hope and at least admit that indeed things are starting to look up a bit.
I try to stay neutral, but i always liked MS consoles. I hope they can change some minds and stay in the game. Like it or not, that is what is best for everyone involved, including us.
good point about hitting 1080 and still using kinect. And at least thus far, the foliage and such looks more detailed than in FM5. I know racers tend to be a bit easier to make pretty than some other genres, and that the game is at 30fps and not 60 like with FM5, but still, interesting none the less. I would think more exclusives, especially 1st party, will begin to follow this trend.
Also, I think once the negative stigma around kinect dies down a bit, more people will giv...
This what I have though all along. I mean not necessarily this exact feature, but just that kinect may not have been hated so strongly had MS shown some practical uses, such as this.
Then again, they were still forcing on everyone
This game gets me a little more excited each time I see it. Coop looks great. Feels safe to say at this point that this game will be awesome.
AAA is not the grade given to the game. So even if you hate CoD, it is practically the textbook definition of a AAA game. Also, it is good to see Sony embrace indies (MS has been doing this as well), but to claim that indies is somehow their main focus is also wrong. They have plenty of AAA exclusives and multiplats heading to their consoles. I do agree about LBP, I always thought it was a AAA game, seemed to be so at least.
great racer. And sims are not necessarily my biggest genre. But forza 5 delivered. I know it got flak for the downgrade and relatively low track count, but overall for a launch title...amazing. I think ill get this pack
Agreed. The first three were great, but gears one was special. It's often like that with these big franchises. I hope they can move the series forward while avoiding that "sell-out" kind of mentality of easy access. I want all people to play and enjoy gears, but at the end of the day, the hardcore fans will keep it alive. Besides, for those who get ruined online, there is always hoarde etc.
Yea, finally we know the truth. Good thing because none of us had any idea until just now.
Once or twice a week an article like this pops up, and you could basically just swap out the game in question and the article is the same.
