Do you know there is no communication with the 3 cores of the 360?
Hope it comes, but can't guarantee it.
They'll just patch both versions...
@below
They will patch both versions, 360 version is also having the same issues, just not as much as the PS3 I believe.
I believe Criterion (Burnout developers) said something about the RSX's power being restricted, could be the same with Rockstar.
Microsoft will have to ask Sony for a license for Blu-ray, since they are the ones who gives them out, it's going to be tough for Microsoft in the future.
Pretty sure it was a port from the 360 to PS3, so that could be the reason.
However, speaking of ports, the 360 version of Oblivion ran at a lower resolution...
Oblivion on 360 = 1024x600 native
Oblivion on PS3 = 1280x720 native
confirmed by Quaz51, same person who did Halo & GTA IV resolutions.
The PS3 version had 8x Anistrophic Filtering, which the 360 version doesn't even have any, not sure about AA, and Oblivion ran and looked ...
The same happened to Oblivion
Oblivion on 360 = 1024x600
Oblivion on PS3 = 1280x720
The PS3 version had 8x Anistrophic Filtering, where as the 360 version unfortunetly didn't even have any, and it looked and ran better on PS3.
and if anyone want's to say about patches, it only improved the LOD texture landscape, not resolution, AA, filtering etc.
@disagrees
rofl, fanboys make me laugh
Thank you alexM this quote proves I'm right, when the bots say installation's are to run the game...
"PS3 owners also have to put up with a nearly eight-minute installation the first time they start the game, which puts the normally slower Blu-ray load times on par with the Xbox 360 version. (That is, unless it's running on a 360 with no hard drive, which we're told will face much longer loads"
See?, installation's ONLY improve loading times, it does NOT ch...
Just to prove that installation's don't remove pop-in...but nearly every review say's the 360 version has more.
The game which is ported from the Xbox 360 is now superior on PlayStation 3.
I'll probably get this on the Wii
it has better lightning according to people, the RSX renders the environment better too
@below
I agree, I have heard the 360 version has anti aliasing, that make's it look sharper, but are the framerate the same or better on one of them?
lol
They're both the same, whatever they test will be the same with what they test on PS3's Cell.
@below
It doesn't matter about "cost", they're still both the same, how come scientists are using the PS3 for scientific w.e stuff?, how come the US Air Force want about 300 PS3's for stuff?
The RSX is more than what you think it is, you just wait a few months then you'll see why
Sorry, but that Power Ranger game was bullsh!t, I even own it too.
um, the Cell & RSX are both special, they're both completely different architectures, you wait a few more months then you'll see why. :D
oh yes sir, I will hahahaha.
aah yes they did have a year to improve, since it was a port from 360, but looked what they achieved with it?, they had it at a higher resolution, 8x anistrophic filtering, where the 360 version doesn't even have any lol, not sure about AA, and they had it running better too, that's just embarrasing for Microsoft rofl.
@below
The patch only improved the LOD texture, not filtering or resolution.
VF5 was a launch game, well here in Europe it was, the...
Nintendo took a different approach this generation, focusing on part-time gamers instead of hardcore, and they are doing a pretty good job with it too, considering the sales rofl.
