COD4 on 360 = 1024x600 2xAA
COD4 on PS3 = 1024x600 2xAA
Vegas 2 on 360 = 1280x720 2xAA
Vegas 2 on PS3 = 1280x720 2xAA
Oblivion on 360 = 1024x600
Oblivion on PS3 = 1280x720
The PS3 version had 8x AF, ran and looked better according to reviews, the 360 patch only improved LOD texture landscape, not resolution, AA, filtering etc.

It's Free Radical's first PS3 game, look how EA got used to the PS3 after they had that Madden game at 30fps, and they're putting their games at 60fps on it now.....
The Assassin's Creed developers said the PS3's & 360's memory are handled differently, but seeing as the XDR RAM is incredibly fast, fastest RAM out there, I can't see why developers use low resolutions on PS3, but seeing as this is Free Radical's first PS3 game, it might make sense, but yeah, I think it is cost's aswell.
You will see future PS3 games like KZ2, this is just the beginning, it's truly a great time for PS3 fans right now.

I do actually hope that the 360 version will be able to pull that off though, but seeing as it says "multi-core processors", the 360 doesn't have a communcation system with it's 3 cores.

It's now ANNOUNCED to be coming in 2009, that's probably because of something which I'll keep my mouth shut on...for now lol.

Have you seen the landscape?, trees etc, they looked real, even with it being crap video quality, it looks on par with Alan Wake imo.
I'll say this now, that Resistance 2 looks on par with Alan Wake from what I saw (landscape), plus, everything was shown on the PC version....
