butt
lol everyone's reaction here is hilarious.
like anon doesn't attack itself like this on a bi-weekly basis.
knowing what i know about anon, you guys are getting trolled up the wazoo.
well there go the plans for crossgame chat that many ps3 fans were hoping for through skype
stop lying. PLENTY of ps3 players would love crossgame chat.
some may not agree, but there is actually a silver lining in all this.
a lot of companies skim on their online defense budgets and try to minimize the amount they have to spend on hiring security specialists. a lot of top level companies think they have adequate protection because their business doesn't directly deal with the usual ventures that hackers like to attack (banks, governments, venues of money or information)
it wasn't just sony who was gui...
i love china's system
make other countries crap for cheap and sell them. but when those countries want to sell their crap IN china, make up some BS excuse about them not meeting their standards.
then turn around and reverse engineer the crap and make their own chinese knockoffs and keep all the profits in china.
didnt jeff say he didnt play "artsy-fartsy" games or something?
apparently the 3rd atk, the 2001 contest info, came from a japanese source who posted the info.
This is a global hacker attack on sony! even by their own people!
when my xbox rrod, MS paid for everything and i got a brand new xbox free of charge.
when my ps3 YLOD, i had to pay sony $100. which is worse....
and then you wonder why n4g is considered the cesspool of the videogame online scene..
bricked? well the slims xbox have lower failure rates than PS3 so definetaly low.
banned? well i'm sure a lot. of course, no one can ban ps3s cause none can get online.
ZING!
how do you know?
sometimes hackers wait for months till the heat dies down until they start striking. some hackers dont even use the info, they instead sell them to other hackers.
this process can take time. in fact, you might not even start seeing the damage till half a year from now.
huh i always assumed gamefly was the same company as netflix. oh well.
i wouldn't say they are lies. maybe just CC info stolen and the owners, given the PSN's issues, decided to check their purchasing history and noticed fraudulent spending and maybe mistakenly assumed it was direct cause.
consequently my friend decided to check his CC cause of the PSN issue and just discovered fraudulent charges. not necessarily related, but good thing he caught wind of it now.
Sony for the love of jebus, FIRE YOUR PR DEPARTMENT AND GET A NEW ONE, THIS LATEST ONE HAS GONE STALE!
yeah i wish there was a Netflix like service for videogames...
OH WAIT
GAMEFLY
you must not have been in n4g for long...
this is sony's RROD fiasco. it will stick with them for a long time. i think online gaming will be forever changed.
people will be less willing to use credit card/personal info into a console game.
this affects not just PSN but XBL and even the upcoming nintendo service.
i know i personally took off my CC info off xbl after this. im sticking to prepaid cards only from now on.
yeah. demons souls was such a graphical behemoth and took up a such a massive amount of space on a blue ray ( 7 gigs) that i hope the 360 doesn't hold it back.
i mean its not like from software doesn't have more experience on 360 than ps3.
