Wow, just wow... Guess I'm glad you're no longer in the emergency response field.
While I agree with your comment, it sure felt strange coming from a guy with the username BabyYoda lol
After multiple titles failing to deliver in the story department (Destiny, The Division, Anthem etc.) am I wrong to feel apprehensive about this game? To it's credit, at least it's strictly single player/co-op with, allegedly, no MTX or lootboxes. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay from this so as to quell my concerns.
THISSSSS lol so frustrating

Hmm fair enough. I just always figured the Indy movies were done with and interest would be low after the disappointment of the last one. However, I actually like the idea of a spinoff or continuation into modern day with a new cast.
If Naughty Dog stuck to just one IP we would've never gotten Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, TLOU and yes Uncharted. Besides, they could always revisit UC in the form of a reboot/prequel/sequel after a brief hiatus if they truly wanted to.
If the market for an Indiana Jones game is cold, what exactly makes Disney think the masses are clamoring for a movie sequel? I'm willing to bet plenty of gamers would be curious and interested enough if they announced a proper Indy game. Guerilla Games or Insomniac come to mind as ideal devs...
Fully agree on the generic aspect but apparently this game is supposed to be campaign-focused and will not utilize the GAAS model.
That being said, this game sounds/looks like a hard pass for me until convinced otherwise.
“What if the secret to adapting a video game is to tell a story that is respectful of its source material?”
How is this quote complimentary of video game adaptations???
This has pretty much been par for the video games industry in the recent past though? There's typically only 2 or 3 major releases within the first quarter of the year. This is why the late December to early April window is the best time to clear out that ungodly backlog.
Personally, I think it's not doing enough aesthetically to differentiate itself from that Destiny/Anthem style. Even the gameplay mechanics sound extremely similar so I'm not sure this game will appeal to me unless the story is truly well written since it's so difficult to find a AAA release with a great campaign.
I hate to sound overly negative but do they REALLY think people will pick Anthem back up after the rework even if it is successful?

I'll do you one better! They should make a full-on reboot of the Def Jam series considering it's been long enough to restock the roster with contemporary rappers/artists and also the fact that the brawler genre is severely lacking and ripe for the taking.
I always thought it would be cool to play a new Def Jam as an up-and-coming artist where you can eventually select one crew/Label (i.e. TDE, 1017, etc.) to rep and proceed to take on the remaining factions for nati...

I believe the developer has stated that Temtem will also release on consoles, so I'm looking forward to playing it as well.
Totally agree lol But not too strange considering he's about the only person besides Broly who still calls him by Kakarot instead of Goku
It was a no-go for me once I saw it's supposed to be a GaaS. Sounds like yet another forgettable slog of a campaign with barebones content on launch, a classic hallmark of your typical modern GaaS title. Not to mention artificial "depth" in the game by means of excessive grind and most likely restricting access all the coolest customizable stuff behind MTs/Season Pass instead of making them earnable in-game similar to Spider-Man
As somebody who played the original Battlefront 2 on PS2 I can definitively tell you that it did NOT release as a broken game. Glitches and bugs, sure, but nothing really game breaking.
PS4 Battlefront 2 though? Heroes were pretty much unusable, star cards were unbalanced and tended to not work properly, character/map content was barren, etc. That's not to mention the whole pay to win debacle. Hell for some reason Yoda STILL has human teeth in BF2!
