Why are you still at one bubble?
+1 for you.
Also... IDK... chainy... whippy... things?
Couldn't be further from the truth. Do you realize how few titles break even, even quality ones like Okami? CoD and Kotick are the exception, not the rule, as I've said before. Consumers demand feature packed games with HD visuals, but don't realize the time, money, and manpower it takes to deliver such things. Tens of millions of dollars.
Indeed. This is just as bad as people who bring up GT5 in Halo topics. For such a "Sony fanboy" site, seems the other side is content with keeping the status quo, no? Both sides need to give it a rest!
But I digress, CV looks awesome, and I will gladly put it up on my shelf next to Enslaved, GoW3, Darksiders, DI, NGS1/2, DMC1-4.... god I love this genre!
TheHater just put some solid smackdown.
Shank was never exclusive, anyone who says otherwise is an idiot.
I DL'ed it, last night, in 15 minutes, and played through about 3 levels in coop before Daily Show even started. The SWAT boss was damn cool btw, stopped right after him.
Wah wah whine some more children.
SE has just utterly, utterly collapsed this gen.
R2? Is this actual PS3 footage for once? Did not expect that. Any HD PS3 footage of this out there?
I'm psyched for this release, one of my big fall hitters (I'm skipping CoD, Reach, and GT5 in favor of this and Vanquish), but yeah... CV has indeed come a long way.
Still, I'd LOVE to see a Symphony of the Night style game with HD sprites. Oh I can dream.
You realize only a small, small percent of studios break even in this industry, don't you?
Kotick and his ilk are the exception, they are NOT the norm.
Something needs to be done on all sides, as the current market setup just isn't working.
Dev budgets need to come down.
MSRP needs to come down as well.
A delay on when used games can be sold from release?
More incentive to buy new (like ME2 did with Cerberus)?
Things need to change on all fronts, and one specific fix isn't the answer. But as long as used titles cut into first month sales, and devs are being hurt by this, well....
You know, for such "pro" gamers, these guys have more BS rules and complaints and whine about everything under the sun. No this, no that, yadda yadda.
Trophy Patch confirmed!
JK. ;-)
Win the press by giving away free PS4's at E3.
Seemed to work for the competition.
An increase in zombie numbers means all that geo has to go somewhere. It looks to be a design choice, especially if the numbers of 800 up to 7000 is true.
Also, is DR2 even using MT Framework?
Good thing we have such gems of sites like Destructoid, Gametrailers, Edge, Eurogamer among others that will ignore bitching from fanboys and still whine about anything PS3 related then, going so far as to post fabricated stories and fanboy drivel, eh Brian?
Accessories for accessories. Really?
MGS4 doesn't use FMV movies. They were ingame assets, thus no, they don't take up a lot of space.
Revolutionary tech is only as good as the games that run on it. How many lame on rails titles can you really have?
MS should have waited until it had useful, quality integration into better titles.
Couldn't the same be said of any popular, well selling series though?
Compelling is subjective. Also, consumers vote for their dollars. All I see is people complain about the flood of FPS titles, but that's what the consumers are buying in droves. All I see online are people complaining that devs dont take enough chances... yet when they DO, no one goes out to buy the damn game! Even ME2, a GOTY contender, sold rather mediocre numbers for such an amazing title!
But yes, just as the market for used titles needs to change, so to do more effi...
