Animated does not mean "children's cartoon." And why is it a terrible idea?

I'm sure they'll have some new announcements like Forza 3. It's a tad foolish to think they won't show ANYTHING. But I agree with much of the above sentiment, if the "biggest" news is a multiplatform title, the media will eat it up and I will yawn.

It would be a big thing for fanboys, that's about it. I guess it will win MS more mindshare Mart. I already finished MGS4, and an MGS4 Substance style re-release would be on PS3 as well. If Xbox 360 gamers get to enjoy this masterpiece as well then AWESOME. However, it does nothing to pull me to owning a 360 since well, its a multiplatform title. I'm calling BS on this. No rumors of an Oxide title have EVER been present. If this "news" went with MGS:Existence then maybe I'd be a gullible sucker like those who are believing it. Besides, an updated MGS4 is win for everyone, as there is no doubt it would be muliplatform. More gamers enjoying MGS4 = win.
There is also the lack of many large titles and far too much focus on "Oxide" BS as opposed to other "bigger" news like the motion control.
Cannot wait. This is going to be a great March. I hope God of War 3 ups the ante and is a truly amazing finale for the series, just like MGS4 was.
Indeed. Exclusive games, as I've said, help define a system. But when you screw over 50% of your fanbase by saying "you can't have DLC" like Rockstar and Bethesda are doing, that's just crap. Hell, Team Ninja and Namco are taking it one step further and really shoving it to Gaiden and Vesperia fans to boot, sadly.
Not aiming this at you Balrog, so don't take it personally, but I love how people flip flop on this "fact" any time it suits them. I constantly, CONSTANTLY see people denying the idea that MS paid Rockstar millions of dollars for exclusive DLC. Now that a (more than likely BS) rumor shows up of a port, people say its not possible because MS DID indeed pay them? Soooo... which way is it?

Sackboy has a cool design, but he doesn't stand out to me as much of a character. He doesn't speak for instance. He is almost more like a mascot. I'm talking about compared to the Nathan Hales and Marcus Fenix's of this gen.
I won't argue IPs, but Nathan Drake is EASILY the greatest new character created this generation.
First off, because its just a toy, and people should play what THEY love and enjoy. What someone else thinks about the games I like has no bearing on their fun factor for ME.
Secondly, because you get overexuberant fanboys who instead of doing any defending, lash out at the faults of the competition or make excuses. In doing so, they perpetuate the cycle of stupidity by turning around and doing the exact thing they are whining about.

Sony does need to get back to the glory days of marketing (such as R&C on PS2) but in the end, they are delivering the games, so meh. But I don't see how this system is considered a failure when a) its still selling and b) its SO behind the 360 according to fanboys in install base and sales, yet MGS4 only sold 0.5 million less than Gears 2 as of January? (BTW, congrats to Epic for that, but please go back to UT!)
